    Power supply is connected to DC, doesn't it need to be connector to AC to pass through the transformer?

    • @cg-physics-global1021
      @cg-physics-global1021 Před 28 dny

      In this case, it is not a transformer, the coils are just there to produce a magnetic field that is storng enough. And for that, you need AC, otherwise north and south would change 50 times a second.

    i though the magnetic it’s generate AC only or including DC out of the magnetic how come the lead plugs into the DC but not the AC i don’t get it i means if you measuring DC voltage the lead should be in the DC position for AC the lead should be in the AC position

    At the beginning of the video, the current is flowing from left to right (screen orientation), yet the magnetic field lines are shown flowing from the bottom, towards the viewer and over the top. I think that this is the wrong direction, since it's not following the "curl right hand rule". The field lines should be shown flowing in the other direction. czcams.com/video/LAnRTNwrFMo/video.html

    • @cg-physics-global1021
      @cg-physics-global1021 Před 11 měsíci

      The video is correct. If you go from - to +, you have to use the left hand. If you use the definition (+ to -) you use the right hand. In both cases the lines are correct.

    • @cg-physics-global1021
      @cg-physics-global1021 Před 11 měsíci

      There is no north and south pole. That only happens in a coil. For a north and south pole, you need the magnetic lines to run like at a permanent magnet.
