you could place the bands inside of a 1 inch latex tube and add the ball bearing.

The band tying system look cool but could be quite dangerous for beginners or someone who did not really understand how to insert the bands correctly....🤔

I made a slingshot just like that one using 2 Mercedes / chrysler driveshaft ”washers" and the end result looks alot like your setup EXCEPT with mine being made with 4 moduler pieces everything is totally and independently adjustable from handle angle to fork gap and hight. With 8mm holes as the attachment point for my flatbands or tubes and since the bands can be angled 360' it can be set up as OTT or TTF.. what else can my little heart desire ❣️ using my stainless steel hardware she can loosen up and fold up for easy concealment.. probably one of the best out of at least 100 slingshots Ive ever had during my 40+ years on this supposed spinning rock this beautiful and simple construction is basically indestructible being made with all automotive parts i found laying around my shop

Your TBG width might have been suboptimal for 9.5 mm steel. Jorg Sprave's TBG calculator recommands 29.2 mm width for that ammo.

I've recently dug out my Black Widow and was bought a Diablo for christmas, the Diablo has grey powerbands fitter from new, could anyone help me out as the where the grey bands are at regarding power, i know the red are the highest rating for power, and the tan ones are standard... are the grey bands in the middle or are they rated lower that the standartd tan coloured bands?... also is there anywhere to purchase Bloodshot replacments for Barnetts as the stone spear website seems to have gone

Are the bands color coded? Yellow being light and black being heavy for hunting? I ha e mine set up for carp fishing with an arrow and need the heaviest I can get. The local stores only sell yellow replacement bands. Where do I get the heavy set?

I think all of the new stuff from China came out just at the perfect time...TBG changed their logo and the Chinese latex is faster...the hardcore shooters would've been out of the original logo TBG, and once they tried the Chinese stuff, the TBG seemed slow...if you had no old stock to compare it too it would seem as if it was slower than it used to be. That's my guess
