Cardinal Xanadu Axe-Fx III Mk II Turbo

I was working on the intro to Rush's Xanadu and thought why not put this to a slo-mo Cardinal. Much better than looking at me hehe. I used a backing track that had no guitars on it. All guitars are me. It's not perfect because I'm still learning it. Will post the complete song soon with the other two Canadian Boneheads.

I removed all original QR guitar tracks with the Moises app. All the guitar parts were played by me. There are overdubs and flubs. I'm using the Fractal Audio Systems Axe-Fx III Mk II Turbo for all guitars. I used the Pitch block for all harmony guitar parts. I really like this Queensryche band!! I added some frosting (plugin grease) to the drums, bass and vocal tracks because they were lacking...

Love this song. All the original guitars have been removed using the Moises app. There are double and triple tracked guitars here but the out front guitar track is the one you see me playing on the video (yes that was the take). Using a different amp model in the AxeFx III this time, "Big Hair" fun stuff!! Sorry about the weird dancing, it's the PD meds.

Probably my favorite QR tune. I used Logic to change scenes for me from dirty to clean to solo, etc. The harmony section during the solo is using the AxeFx III Pitch block and a Custom scale. All the original guitars were removed using the Moises App. I double and triple tracked some parts but all parts were played by me using the AxeFx III. This was a particularly crappy Parkinson's day for me...

I've wanted to learn this since I first heard it way back in the 70's. David Lindley (RIP) was an incredible slide player. This was really tough for me even though it sounds relatively easy. Tune a Les Paul with a Floyd Rose to an open E(flat in my case) super low action and pray. All guitars were removed from the original track. AxeFx III using my usual preset (factory 375).

I still had the picture of Kim Mitchell in my mind from many, many years ago when he did a gig in Aultsville hall at the St. Lawrence College, well that's gone. 😅 Thanks for sharing that video, brings back a lot of memories. Holy shit. I heard subtle nuances that i never heard before. I love the Les Paul combined with whatever amp youre using, Marshall i guess. Im not very observant. Very rich, sharp attack with a heavy bottom. Bkack Sabbath heavy, with Def Leppard kind of tempo....i dont know , im rambling. Good stuff.

Hello Mark!! I have been looking at your CZcams channel videos for some time now and am totally blown away. Not only by your guitar playing and the band, but by everything, including your talent and extreme knowledge of your equipment , the excellent editing of your videos, the photo books and of course your terrific sense of humor!! i know you are most likely a very busy person with limited time, but i was wondering if it would be alright to contact you through email or some other form of communication. I have a lot of questions I'd like to ask you about your equipment -- your book, and a song that you play that i really like, but am having difficulty learning. I have 90% of the chords down -- I'm just having a little bit of difficulty with a couple of chords I know you could help me with. I promise I won't pester you, I just need a little bit of help and i would be very grateful for any that you could give me. I am from America -- I live in Seminole, Florida.
