Mower battery revived with reverse charging.
I forgot to mention that this is only for a battery that won't take a charge, not a battery you accidentally ran dead. credit to Garage 54 for the idea.

Cub Cadet Intellipower 547cc running rich solved.
zhlédnutí 156Před měsícem
I was ready to put a manual carb on this unit until I had one more go at the carburetor and found the issue was the plastic valve under the steppers. the o-rings appear to be of the incorrect type of rubber and were eroded away. replacing the o-rings fixed the issue with running rich. this mower is on old gas so I would say a new tank of gas and a new spark plug and it should be back up and run...

I meant reluctor wheel. You have to pull the crank for this. EDIT: 10:41 R is rear wheel drive L is longitudinal (as in longitudinal vs transverse)

I did not mention in the video that that small metal/rubber pipe that goes between the valve body and the brake clutch requires you to drop the valve body or you'll cut the rubber part of the pipe

Hi Ryan, do you need to replace this pipe when replacing these reverse clutch pack?

I had the same exact problem as you even with the chipped teeth of the ring gear. I did what you did and got my car running again. Thank you so much for this repair I was actually thinking of replacing but did not feel up to that fight either. I have noticed now that I am having a clunk when the transmission goes from 1st to 2nd gear and was wondering if you may have an idea of as how to fix that. I will be going into the transmission again soon when I get the replacement gear ring.

Check the small rubber/steel pipe that connects the valve body to the 2nd gear clutch (that large aluminum ring) i found out the hard way that you have to drop the valve body to fix it

That funny I had squirrel get in mine and he gnawed my wire harness off my right turn signal all the way to the nylon bulb housings. Also the 02-04 models are notorious for their electrical issues and substandard window motors.

If the harness is the same and the TCM is the same I don't see why not but the stock 45rfe is plenty adequate for the 3.7 power tech

Fucken eh...i bought an 02 donor for my 06 cause i needed the transfer-case & engine oil pan. Swapped those but ever since i've been looking at the 45rfe & wondering what i'd need to swap it in place of my 42rle. This was a huge heap of info thanx for doin the leg work guy. I mucho appreciate it. If you got any updates or anything real important you've figured out since...i'd be more than interested to know. Thanx again!

I actually sold this car and it's still going strong. The only issue is that the 2wd front springs arent stiff enough for the extra weight of a differential and transfer case but if you already have a 4x4 I dont think it'll matter
