5:18 if one did a history on CX HKG-MNL they had a head start over PR on that route because they did HKG Kai Tak to Sydney Kingsford Smith via Vilamor AFB MNL. Competition with them and Philippine airlines started on September 5th 1946. These days Farrell and De Kanzow's airline beats the Filipino flag carrier on HKG-MNL and it's ULH versions MNL-HKG-YYZ/JFK/EWR.

No need for music. 99% of people who watch such videos need the sound of engines and ATC.

We were friends of Captain Charles ( Chic ) Ether. He was also my Judo Instructor when i was a youngster. He had a fascinating life as a Pilot with Cathay Pacific. My Father was an Air Traffic Controller at Kai Tak from 1961-1980

Why do so many of these flight videos have this horrible music edited in? Some of us like to hear the engines.

I do not think I would go below glide path for two reasons: 1. obstacle clearance/angry neighbours and 2. a low approach means minimum flare and therefore lack of deceleration by flaring. Safe travels!

I leave just next to this airport. Always a pleasure to watch planes and jets landing !

very impressive, but the Music is horrible for all watching Pilots and Simulator Pilots. wish more Informations about a flight and allarround. in this actual flight to LOWI i see the RTT arrival for LOC/DME 26 ? do you need a checkflight in a simulator and regulary minimum flightnumbers in a year to the Special Airport with a twinjet up to 20T MTOW ?
