Ralph recorded this song on his first album Eight Frames A Second back in 1968. At the time Cornwall was a magnet for up and coming acoustic guitar musicians. Ralph kindly sold me his Harmony Sovereign guitar which he played around this time. Tom Waghorn a luthier in Bristol renovated it for me and this is how it sounds today. #RalphMctell #FolkinCornwall #Tomwaghornguitars

This is a new song of mine. It’s called Temporary and it’s about some teachers today who decide to work on temporary contracts as supply teachers. I first heard the Panama Limited version about 1969, its a great version, I will check out the Ralph McTell version now......I like your version too!!!

I fell in love with Suze after reading her utterly charming memoir, "A Freewheelin Time". Not enough credit is given to Suze for her love, support and influence on Bob as he was finding his voice. In my opinion, it was the politics of Suze Rotolo that fed Dylan's early protest songs. It seems to me, she set the stage for Dylan's initial success as a protest songwriter, which catapulted him into the limelight and the arms of Joan Baez. I'm also so glad I read her book, which was nostalgic for me remembering my own short time living in The Village as a struggling artist in the early 70's.

That is a fine tribute. Well done. Bob and Suze, both very young, were perfect for each other...for awhile. And then that changed, as it often does, and they parted, but they were friends again after a time. I always think of them both with great affection. Her book is very good.

Bob Dylan and Suzie Rotelo's history is a beautiful love story in my opinion. Not a reason to carry a broken heart. An amazing memory and experience to hold onto. Suzie felt left out during the time Bob Dylan headed forward toward fame and fortune stronger than a pack of wild horses. I feel like Suzie is my friend after reading her book. I feel the love Bob Dylan carries for her. Such an interesting life.
