Great memories of the movie and the time.
This movie is my life in Ottawa and Montreal, penelope spheeris knew what was up. Stay punk everyone 🤘
White laces in the Doc's or red. Black nylon Bomber jacket with orange lining. Shaved head. Ski cap for me, & carharett jacket with cuffed jeans, & all black chucks. Ya I fycking miss em days. Smh
1980s living on Main St EVERY DAY. There were actual skaters here then and bangs, safety pins etc etc going behind a church to smoke and hearing people coughing on the way back. It's nothing extreme, happened many places. But it was a very fun period, it happened here in the Midwest. It'll never happen again anywhere, of course there's no way. Now look at what We've got, absolutely nothing just about anywhere. I know why older people are so grumpy. I get it. Cuz eventually everything sucks except memories and the timeless Music etc etc from then. And honestly alot of Us didn't know about this great movie then. I didn't until 1989, I admit. But it's the closest thing to then here 86-89.
Porkey prime cut is the best
Magnífico
love this movie Rip Roger Coreman
I went to see the Dead Kennedys live in concert back in 1983 [ ? ], and a riot broke-out... my friend was arrested for throwing rocks at the pigs (cops) who broke-up the concert... never got to see the DKs live, but it was memorable nonetheless... 😋 😄 😃 🚀
Just watch the movie not seen it since it came out in 1983 still Just as good as a i remembered it was punk before this came out and I'm still the same to this day punks way of life to me and not a fashion all the best from old punk rocker from England 🇬🇧
Absolutely fantastic film...some of the scene in this film remind me of my youth.... something I will never forget
My favorite is when Flea makes Easter eggs with his blue slushy at the convenience store 😂😂😂

One million thank yous
you are a pimp. a king, my friend. AAAAAAAAAAAA
This soundtrack is freaking masterful
film and album meant so much to me as a youth that I adopted The Rejected as my first ever online username in chat rooms LOL this brings me back, thank you for getting the vinyl rip ;) glad to see new ppl finding this too...
Sadly the world became worst now
How so? ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED???
Pat brown version here is the best!
I wish I was at this show
Their bassist and song writer Jim Volpicelli sadly just passed away a few weeks ago. 😔

Que tremenda banda sonora
Whats this like compared to the Porky Peckham mastering?.
Here's a link to the Porky version. I know they're supposed to be drastically different (you can see the difference in the pressings from the videos) but overall I think they're similar with Porky getting a fuller sound. I heard the Metcalfe version was supposedly too fast but based on the relative times of both videos they're pretty close...
I like this version of darker my love
Later days
Starred a young Flea from RHCP as Razzel, loved is film. Still love the music at 53 years old. Old punks just get grey and have kids ;)
Was it filmed before he left RHCP to join Fear?
Yeah he is the self-appointed barber. Every household needs one, especially with his personality.
There's a great goof in the scene where they're driving to the house to steal the yard where Jack says, "Where's the house Flea?" and he notices the line flub a couple second later, laughs and says, "Hey my name is Razzle man!"
Best movie because it was so bad. Watched it soooo many times! Slayer covered Richard Hung Himself.
Dude, totally agree! Love Slayer's cover BTW
This is really hard to find do you have any pictures of the vinyl label itself and also the back side of the jacket.
DI was great live and they put out some great records. I think I'll listen to a few.
Thank you. One of my favorites from the day. Respect
Had a white 12 inch Mohawk when I first watched this. Respect to all Gen X
Pet shop boys used some quotes from the movie for their song
Great band that ended way too Soon!
They basically peaked too early. They were big on MTV when hardly anyone had cable yet. If Spring Session M comes out a year or two after it actually did in 1982, Dale Bozzio becomes Madonna. The follow ups in 1984 and 1986 just weren't up to par, they missed their chance.
@@VinnieBoombatz374 there was good stuff on later albums but yes they tried to change too quickly. Why they didn’t just make another fun trippy pop album like the first is beyond me. Some artist get too self important after a little success. Just make another fun album to listen to!!

Thanks for the upload buddy. So crisp and clear it's wonderful. Jello and the band in their prime 😎
Sure thing. One of the best albums of all time, imo.

I am walking through the streets I am dressed in human clothes My thoughts belie my nature My mouth a house of lies Unhinge my human head And see my lupine soul And down my wolf's throat A human lies in wait In the belly of the beast Just what I said Red Riding Hood ate the wolf But the human is dead The human is dead The human is dead The human is dead
which one was you :)
The funeral home scene was filmed on Toberman and Venice Street near downtown L.A, I lived about a half block away from there. 🙂
Oh hell yeah that’s really cooll!
Now I love this and miss those days🙏❤️🙌🏼🔥
I've got to find me somebody , differently and I don't want to play these games , all should have been mega hits, still love this album. He sings from the soul.
Love love love! Most people don't even know the movie!
Cheer's 👍🏻💚💨
i wish the “score” parts were longer and on a double LP, but we both know that aint happ’nin
Did they repress this ever??
@@meatforyourmom I've only ever seen a repress that LOOKS like it's from the mid to late 80's. There's a bootleg cd from 1990 floating around too.
I wish the instrumental from the supermarket scene was added to the soundtrack because that was the best instrumental from the movie in my opinion
I like to see the recent comments for this music/film. Honestly, punks are an idea. I love how they view the world. They are very poetic.
what a blast from a better past, bigup uploader

And I don't know which way to turn Everywhere I look I see the burn Of another broken dream or life unfilled Theres pains, theres troubles and my face hangs from Behind my windowsill Song of inspiration spurts hope Into the lives of those we know I bet you wish you could just pack it in And start it all over And start it all over again Sometimes when you're thinking of The troubles of those who you love I know you wish you could just solve it all So no one would worry So no one would worry at all Broken man I see your broken face No matter what you do you feel out of place And sometimes no hope seems it's the only hope we see Of coming out from under The burden of the sorrow we receive The burden of the sorrow we receive The burden of the sorrow we receive
Dude those kids always epitomized punk the idea of true punk for me. Might as well be living in a post apocalyptic gone to shit America because I noticed real punks truly didn't give a fuck no matter what lol.
🎯
This movie formed my youth...
Mine too and now my middle age
same here

Same.
Listening to this now after all these years is mind blowing. After decades I just looked up TSOL and it brought this soundtrack up. RESPECT to all Gen X
