The sand has been pumped from the sea bed quite a few years to replenish the beach, and I believe also help with the sea defences.

I hope you like it, my brother-in-law says it's the worst camper he ever had. Shoddy workmanship, carpets didn't fit properly, rattled, excess glue everywhere and that was from new. And VW weren't interested.

The way you passed that sailing boat in Fleet Dyke, South Walsham, by passing behind them once they had turned, was perfect. 😊 I would advise caution mooring up on a ‘wild mooring’ where it looks like trees have been recently cut down. There might well be tree roots under the water that could cause problems.

I first visited the Broads when I was about 11, 1966, on a day trip from Pontins Pakefield. I was entranced by our short boat trip and have returned regularly ever since. Don't tell everyone just how beautiful it is! I hope you continue to return to this lovely part of Britain.

Unusual pronunciation of Irstead. There is no iron, at least it’s not as difficult as Wymondham, now that is a good one. We haven’t been on a boat yet. It’s always so windy and puts us off. The white horse at Neatishead has a sister pub the Lion at Thurne. Both do great food😊

i know im around 2 months late but man that skiing trip you took reminded me of the PE lessons in school where we had to go like 5-10km across the lake on skiis. Never was a fan of PE during winter here in Finland. 😁

Another lovely holiday video. Thank you. I love watching other people’s Broads hols videos when we are looking forward to our next trip. We only have one week to go! I notice you tend to have a trip to Beccles at the start of your holiday. Beccles has so much character, a delightful town. I love the southern rivers, especially the river up from Beccles to Geldeston. That’s really special…a bit like the section between Wroxham and Coltishall. We are hoping to ‘go down south’ on our next trip as the tides times look good.

What a lovely holiday video. Wonderful memories to store up! I love the Broads. My only regret is that we didn’t discover the Broads until our sons were in they 20s. They have been on Broads holidays with us though. We are next on the Broads for the last two weeks of March. Give us a wave if you see us. We’ll be on Moonlight Shadow, which is a syndicate owned boat.

Also enjoyed it. Used to cross the river on the ferry. New Holland to Hull many times! Also now in S Africa!
