To see the jump in person from the end of the 22-23 season to the beginning on the 23-24 season was crazy. He’s still learning but he’s huge and a great defensive defence man. Love watching him in CB, he’s gonna be in the nhl for sure

The Ottawa Senators need to be smart and creative for the off-season trades, saying that Sean Walker Rd Def. might be a nice add to the team at the right price. I would consider Martin Jones as a good backup Goalie at a cheap price.- $950,000. Warren Foegele would be a solid winger at a cheap price. And last maybe Mattias Janmark at the right price. Good luck Ottawa in the season -save cap space.

Few of these players I’d be staying away from if I were the GM. If you can get Stephenson for cheap then I’d be all over that, but he’s gonna command a lot of money. He declined heavily this year and his biggest attribute is his speed and that’s started to go downhill. At 30 there’s a good chance he doesn’t bounce back either. Joshua also would be nice for cheap, but I’m not paying him like a legit middle6 guy. He shot 20% at 5v5, so he’s very likely gonna see that come down to earth. And when he played away from Garland his numbers cratered. If you can get him for around 3M then sure, but anything more and it’s a likely overpay. DeBrusk and Toffoli I’d love to have though. Toffoli took a bit of a step back this year but was still a good player, and DeBrusk is that perfect blend of offence/defence/grit/pesttines that every team would love. I’d also add in Arvidsson as well. Yes, he dealt with some injuries but that likely means you can get him for cheaper and shorter term.

There is a certain forward that I think you should target.His name is Morgan Barron,he is a 6'4" 220 pound left wing.He is a bridge player,middle 6.He has some speed and physicality.The other one is Dakota Joshua,he is a bigger forward that is middle six as well. Dump the Norris contract,the Chychrun contract,Brannstrom,Hamonic,Kastellic,Kubalik,Joseph,Parker Kelly,prospects,Oskar Petterson,Lassi Thomson,plus Forsberg and Korpisalo if you can. How you structure the moves depends on what teams are willing to negotiate.Winnipeg has Barron,Demello,Dillan,even if Ehlers won't move,there are options.The second thing is Edmonton will be moving one of their top six centers.Lets root for Edmonton,in the cup.There would be movement then.The other team to look at is former Arizona,Sean Durzi,a good powerplay right shot d man.

I love the idea of signing Chandler Stephenson. My only worry is how much of his success is because of Mark Stone. We all know how Mark Stone made Colin White look like a good player. Debrusk, Sprong and Joshua would be my targets. But I'm not getting my hopes very high.

I'd LOVE to see Pageau back but i dont think he's the type of player the Sens need. They need speed AND size. Playoff type players. I don't have any names in mind.....I'm going to let the process play itself out and see who Stevey actually gets

The Sens don't need Pageau, they have Stutzle, Norris, Pinto & Greig at centre plus Kastelic & Halliday in Belleville. Toffoli would be a good add if they move Joseph & DeBrusk would also be a great add, just not sure either would come to a team that has too many questions around being a playoff team. They would with those two though, but they don't solve the goaltending need or the RD need.

Josh Norris needs to get healthy and start earning that almost 8 million dollars too.

I want them to target a player like Jordan Martinook. He could fill that Joseph spot. I think they should be looking for Lawson Crouse style of players too.

Trade Joseph (if possible), sign Joshua and Stephanson and the third line is set.

We have enough forwards that can put up points.. if we add any, they need to be veteran guys that can play a 200 foot game and make the game hard for opponents

I am not a huge fan of your list with the exception of Joshua. I want a shutdown line that can play the PK. Only Joshua fits that bill in my mind. NYI had the worst PK in the league (just behind Ottawa).

And for the future, the ducks have a 19 year old prospect from Quebec named Noah Warren. Plays good D, plays mean, 6'4 (some pages list him as 6'5). Someone put together a short video montage of this guy knocking around opposing players and just taking the puck away from them like a schoolyard bully. 2nd rounder, 42nd overall. Projected at 3rd pair up to 4th D man on the 2nd pair.

so hopefully Ross, Sens scouts won't be so inclined to simply believe someone else's opinions based solely on 'badges or trophies' won and not to believe the countless rating charts but actually have to actually scout their prospects.

Regardless of what you want, which of the 8 mill contracts are you going to lose? And by lose, I mean bribe another team to take the 8 mill contract off your hands. Are you losing Chabot? Sanderson? Tkachuk? Stutzle ... and Norris. I leave Norris to the last, because now he's injured and the bribe maybe more then what Sens are willing to pay, maybe multiple draft picks including first rounds?? If you're not prepared to give the first round picks away, then you're not getting better goaltending or you're intending to stick with Korpisalo, at least he's prepared to play for the Sens for 4 mil.
