DRC HOLDS A PEACE ACTORS TRAINING ON CONFLICT SENSTIVE PROGRAMMING AT STEGRA HOTEL LODWAR.
The Danish Refugee Council is conducting training for stakeholders involved in peace initiatives in Turkana County. This training aims to equip participants with essential techniques to address emerging peace threats in the region.
The initiative is part of the Resilience, Peace, and Stability Program (RPSP), which focuses on enhancing the capacity of peace actors in Garissa, Mandera, and Turkana counties to mitigate conflict and promote development.
Mr. John Ekutan confirmed that the training has attracted a diverse group of stakeholders, including Turkana County Assembly committee on Peace Building, Directorate of Peace County Government, Civil Society Organizations, Community-based Organizations etc.
Mr. Eliud Emeri, President of Civil Societies in Turkana, emphasized the commitment of these organizations to resolving conflicts for community betterment.
The RPSP is funded by the Danish government and runs from 2021 to 2025.
