We've only seen the bronzed Verticable and love the color of the bronze looking SS cables. But we're needing white to better fit our house and don't quite know how bright those SS cables look by comparison. Is there any place to see all options side by side in person in the Minneapolis area?

Need to know where the screws go on the middle crossover railing.

My Tru Close hinges don't have the inside part. Do these hinges have to be installed right side up ? I have two gates that close together and will have to flip the hinges over for one side. How much of a gap are you supposed to have between the structural post and the gate post ?

Why would anyone put distracting background music in an instructional video? Is the instruction not worth listening to?

So we need a really long screw driver to do this???

Wow, this is terrible. I can't believe the manufacturer actually considers this an instructional video. (And that they paid this guy to make it) There are so many things unexplained.

Very helpful video. Also, I'm making a mental note not to install it too high. ;) BTW, if the gate is on a deck with stairs leading up to it, it's important to make sure you have the maximum spacing of balusters of the stair railings at the top of the stairs. Otherwise, that push button on the lock is going to bang into the baluster. I installed a gate on our deck which had been professionally installed, but the installers hadn't planned on the gate being there. I did get it to work, by carefully adjusting the length of the plastic piece, but the key would not be able to be used on the stair side, because there's no room to fit it in. This does seem like a design problem.

Do NOT buy! This is an overpriced transformer and it will not last. The 5 year warranty is worthless because the manufacturer (Digger Specialties) will take weeks to even respond to a warranty request, and then they will find a reason to exclude your coverage. Mine started blinking power after only about 10 months. It does not even have wifi. You can find a much better "smart" transformer with wifi and phone/Alexa/Siri controls on Amazon for 1/3rd of the price of this boat anchor. Outdated junk! A low voltage transformer is a low voltage transformer and nothing special. You can use any low voltage lights with any basic transformer with only very, very basic wiring skills. Get a smart transformer and not this piece of S*#!.

So the 9' harness all goes underneath the deck correct

Of course you didn't show cutting a section down and having to deal with cutting the gasket down. It's near impossible to slide that gasket out to cut it down so the little trim pieces fit in. Might be almost easier to cut the gasket out with an exacto knife. The top gasket slides just fine.

What about using these lights with a regular landscape transformer?

Why didn't you show sliding the glass into the bottom rail? I know why. It doesn't fit.

We don't use wood for the structural, we use 3x3 steel clover leaf posts. How do you incorporate those posts?

Some pointers for people using this video as a guide: 1. Never, *EVER* hammer your your balusters while they're in the bracket. You're just asking to break your bracket off. 2. If you don't have a piece of 1x4, 1x6, etc., use a cutoff piece from one of your deck boards as a spacer. 3. Don't cut your top and bottom posts to length until you have installed your bracket covers, then measure 1.5" up from that, not 3/16". Your finished product will look better. 4. If you can't find a super long bit, use a right-angle adapter on your drill.

This is not a real job site situation Really easy when you can clamp an 8 foot rail I one piece up and get all your marks but show how you do it on a 10ft run with 2 6 foot rails where the middle of your rail is not connected That’s something that we need to see on the job.

What I do not understand is that the company doesn’t go out on a real framed deck, show you how to build the blocking wood for the posts and the lag screws to sink into, install the decking material then install the railing showing all the steps involved plus the horizontal rails and balusters and then go over the stair railing install! Why not.

Just returned an entire Tuscany package after attempting to follow the worst installation instructions that I've ever seen. Nice product but lacks so much needed detail. Have another brand going in end of month after viewing videos and checking their instructions in advance to ensure a much smoother experience. Lesson learned! I will give one piece of needed information not in the install directions and that you don't even show in this video-the dimension of the base of the post showing the distance between holes to anchor it. My deck has three 2x6 boards running vertically at the post locations and we couldn't determine if the posts would fit to allow a good solid attachment to them. Day of install and we discovered that the 2x2 post would not fit. I even went online and looked at instructions thinking that there would be info there and nowhere does it give these kinds of much needed details. Have since beefed up the areas where the new posts will be placed which took pulling up the mahogany boards and re-plugging.

"Just create separation and pull it apart". This is incredibly unhelpful.

I looked at the installation instructions on your website and it said if the glass panels are less than 32 inches high the approach is to place them in the bottom rail and then install the top rail over top of the panel. This was going to be our approach, although I like the approach shown in your video which is lifting the glass panel into the top and then lowering it down into the bottom railing. I'm not sure why having a glass height of less than 32 inches precludes this approach. Thank you again.

We are installing these for a customer who does not want full height glass. She only wants the railing to be about 24 inches high. In our application there is 20 inches between the upper side of the bottom rail, and the lower side of the top rail. My question is how high does the glass need to be so that it can be lifted into the groove on the top rail and then lowered into the bottom rail? I believe the answer is that the glass needs to be 7/8" longer than the space between the railing, or 20 7/8" in my case, but I am wanting a second opinion. Thank you!

Level is horizontal, not vertical. It’s called plumb.

Says in swing yet leaves out the part about how to mount the inswing closure which is the hardest part
