zhlédnutí 90KPřed 15 lety
Malcolm Le Grice's Berlin Horse / Sound by Brian Eno " Multi-projection film Berlin Horse (1970) was based entirely on a novel but simple idea of a repeating, subtly changing film loop. The soundtrack created by Brian Eno was also implemented using a tape loop. According to the director, Berlin Horse examines how the eye works and how the minds builds up a perceptual rhythmic structure"

A really nice marriage of hypnotic imagery and sound. The colour palette is also real pleasure.

Hi Nelda, bye Nelda. Forever.
Amazing. Thank you.
Remember being mesmerised by this at modern art museum in Barcelona all those years ago
Yes, we really need the rest. Except fot the Hart of London (you can watch it in Ubu Web), impossible to see the rest of his films.
<3
@zombiesandaliens nailed it.
An awesome piece of VJ 'ing this!
@Expatech Not much to understand really, other than to say that if you do a couple of films that are mediocre, then really smash it with just a single film, the rest of your crap will become art. On the other hand, if you like it, and for any reason at all it inspires some sort of emotion in you. Then it's art to you. No one should really feel bad for seeing something or not seeing something in anything, in spite of my earlier comment (an indication that I personally didn't see much).
Q. "what's that mean"? A. "you tell me", so I know you're at least thinking.
this is more then a statement, and my muse.sonic use ;)
@itmediaco send me the link too please
poetic in images and feeling, the way good experimental should be
@Expateach claiming Le Grice, the main interest is in creating experiences rather than concepts. Ideas emerge from colour, image, sound, movement and time. n this is what cinema is at its essentials, I guess
I like the horse personally
@Expateach Digital planet did a podcast on this 19th May I think
I really like Eno's music, but I guess I don't understand art because I don't understand this art at all. Please help me if you can.
There is nothing to understand at all - feel liberated.

Is that Jim O'Rourke?
