Thank you for the video, it was very informative but no disrespect, but that’s way too much walking. I’ve never been to Seattle but if I decide to go, you can bet, I’m taking a taxi or Uber.
You are shaking your camera like there is an earthquake.
After the pod is filled, they had better move it more slowly so it does not swing so much!
Love it!!! This is awesome!!! I want to work there!!!
I wonder if you need a health card for this job 🤔
The view of Lake Washington looks magnificent while crossing that new bridge. Nothing compared to the two bridges of I-90 crossing Lake Washington with Mercer Island. However, it's an alternate of I-90 crossing Lake Washington if you want to pay for bypassing I-90 traffic.
Damn.. just use a flatbed roll off truck or Moffett This is making it way to complicated
Before the Freeway we had Highway 99 or Aurora. I was among the first to travel the new Freeway I-5 through downtown back in the early sixties. Doubt I'll get around to the light rail but it was interesting to see.
This company is fraudulent. Charging over 4 thousand for a 200 mile move. Sue pods and win big.
I haven't lived in Washington State since 2009 but I did vote for the system and did help with the 3rd Ave bus tunnel construction in 1987. I'm glad to see that it finally made it to the campus. Can't wait to see the videos when the Northgate and Federal Way links are finished.

I wish I had this driver. Mine couldn't do anything but straight. He blocked our entire driveway!
You didn't pay your the money for the ticket so why and what made you think this is ok!? You have to pay for your ticket no matter what!!
He just broke a violation by operating the podzilla when it's closed in. The podzilla must be expanded all the way out when its being driven.
Thats beautiful...👍
This is cool but it takes so damn long. Should have just got roll off trucks. Way faster and cheaper
It’s about keeping it level and not damaging the stuff inside that’s why it takes longer so it can be done properly not faster or cheaper lol
I don't understand how Americans do not get escalators. It's stand right walk left. Just like the highway blocking the left causes road rage.
These people are probably car drivers and are on it for the experience due to its opening.Savy metro/ subway/ light rail riders know better.
And no doubt half of the persons in the video bitched about public transportation before this was built, and raged against the idea that they would be taxed for a project like this.
😄😁....yep.You're probably right.
uw stuff are awsome. Cool.
Seattle has probably the most impressive LRT system in this country
Nah man Portland seems better than ours.
That really looks like my adoptive father Dennis
Nice...haven't ridden the link since they expanded past Westlake I will definitely have to check out the new stations. Hope the don't become crapholes like tukwilla station.
Man this kid needs more experience a lot of things that you are guys doing is wrong little bit more practice in about a year or two you should be fine
1:47 A SCHINDLER ELEVATOR GUY!!
What size is this container?
did you ever get one TJ? I'm wondering what the width of the truck, and lift are. I'm limited on space along side my driveway a long the side of the house.
That's not Dennis
Ugh, I'm getting motion sickness from watching this. It's way too shaky.
What size is that container?
Just to give you a heads up, hope you didn't eat the lungs. try to grab the crabs from the back, less likely to get pinched. good haul for dinner. good luck next time.
Interesting choice to put Cal colors in the tile at the entrance to the Udub station. :)
What was that last brown building there?
Like the UW Station, the escalator you use is on the LEFT side. Did we revert back to being a British colony without anyone telling me ????
The first two escalators seem to be "backwards" where you use the one on the LEFT side instead of the right, then the final escalator is "correct" where you use the one on the right side. What dyslexic person designed this ?????

Who was the genius that thought a single escalator was a good idea?
Too much escalator
And too much people
you're too much
I have to agree way too much escalator especially for no turnstiles
Probably not enough goat, chickens, and running sewage for you.

wow that's deep underground, I've been in the light rail from seatac to westlake. I'm glad to see they are expanding!
I live in the Tacoma area, and I'm confused. is this an extension of the seatac-seattle light rail? or is this a completely new one?
I read about this in TRAINS magazine
It's an extension. Plus they are currently working on extending the service to the Northgate Mall, and that station should open in a year or two. After that I believe they are putting in a line to Bellevue and also Redmond, although they were arguing about whether to go over the water via bridge or under via tube (as they did to cross lake Washington to the U District) last I heard. They also plan to extend the current rail south to Federal way, but possibly all the way down to Tacoma to connect with the existing light rail near the Tacoma Dome, and in the other direction, all the way up North to Everett. Its all in their 25 year plan if voters adopt it.
The exterior of both the Capitol Hill and University stations are so plain. You would think that they would put more effort into providing a more aesthetically pleasing structure, but no this is Seattle where corrugated metal is seen as a nice material for new apartments, where most of the skyscrapers being built are boxes, and everything is that will do. I love this city, but there needs to be more civic pride if we truly want to be considered a world class city.
But the interior of this station is sure attractive, largely because of the artwork!
Yea, because people in this area are so eager to pay taxes to support public transportation.
I think the outside of the station looks nice, it’s supposed to blend into the area.
3:52, I'm the big guy in the vest. Thanks for the posting.
What if you have a REAL driveway with homes on both sides? I'm getting one of these delivered in a few days and I am afraid they won't be able to put it in place.
+Mari Gilbert were they able to put it in place? i'm in the same situation
You need a fucking building permit from the city. They demand you get a builders permit before you even get the fucking pod delivered. Then they charge you 4000 for 200 mile moves. The same price as a mansion home in the mid west.
No computer, depends on how steep the hill, and if you pack securely, road conditions will not matter, just like a regular moving truck. The drivers are professionals.
:) go scds??!
does anyone know if these things can be delivered up a hill?
Westry Whitaker Pods can be delivered up certain hills, its up to the driver to see if they feel safe putting it up the hill, and if they can get it up the hill. Podzillas (things that move the pods off the truck and places them) Don't have acual breaks within the machine, So if they lost control of the podzilla up a steep hill it would be a 5k+ pound machine speeding down a hill.
I really wonder if the gyro system is computerized or the human keeps an eye on it. Either way, it's somewhat effective.
That seems like a huge expense to keep the load from shifting, but what happens when you come to a redlight or go up or down a hill. Especially putting on the brakes.
? Not sure I understand your comment. The lift is so they can move the unit around, and set in position. Not to stabilize. PODS professional drivers are the ones driving, so you won't need to worry about driving and going up a hill. They will drive them across the country so I'm sure they will be fine coming up to red lights.
Sad news today of the crash there!! :(
SCDS FOR THE WINNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!
Right there in 10th row center myself ! By the way... when watching own vid... click on Enhancements at top... then click Stabilize. It's amazing what it does !!! Did it to all of mine. Gives you a preview and if you like.... click on Save at top right.
