Hi , I'm thinking about expanding my brush collection, I've seen an Diane 8169 and 8159 but I don't know if they're actually legit or not. The logos looks good but on eBay it says that 38 have been sold so I'm like are these man made or something? I just can't tell if they're the originals or not and don't wanna lose money on fake stuff. I just wanted to get your two cents in on it. I would send links but for whatever reason my comment keeps getting deleted.

So you didn't do a wash and style, you did a wash then style. Sounds like it takes more time and effort and time than a wash and style. I've done something similar and it didn't work for me

All I used back in the mid 90s in high school was Vidal sasoon and diane og 8196 brushes,waves was so thick and cold Boyz thought it was a kit...compliments from men and women daily,soft brushes are the way to go.

Do you only use a soft brush during your brush sessions or medium and hard brushes as well

What do wavers mean when they say don’t wash your hair when you get in the shower? Like do they mean do put shampoo or conditioner in? Just wet your waves with water when you get in the shower or don’t wet your waves at all when you get in the shower?

Ngl. This is exactly how I was brushing my beehive. I changed my brush angle because my front area was slanted like Rashad's from 3WP. I wanted it as straight as possible. What I'm currently doing is following another pattern of a brush method. Before I brush now, I follow my headshape by conforming my hands to the angles of my head. I found that I should be brushing my front at an inward angle to get straight waves. Just started doing it last night and it's perfect. A few forks on one side I've been having problems with. I don't have any forks with my side connections. Only with my front side to front middle from changing patterns. Should be good after a week of isolated brushing. Been waving for 3 months now and still on my first wolf. Medium texture waver. Getting my first cut today. I'm going 2 WTG and a 2.5 on my crown. I want to keep as much definition and depth as I can

some odd reason i perfected my left side first then front to back, struggling with my right just started about a month ago

Question for fellow wavers!!!! I been waving for about 6 months and my waves were looking really clean. However there was this one spot to the right of my crown that would not act right. I wolfed, combed, wash and styled everything. No matter what it kept opening up. So basically last week I finally just gave in and started shifting my wave pattern. Turns out my natural crown is not in the center of my head, is there anyway to move it to the center?

The definition of ELITE WAVER definitely needs to be changed. I'm an OG who's been puttin' in work since the '80s & I'm constantly complimented on my hair & my hair is FORK-LADEN!!! I'm 53 with a healthy full head of hair & I've got little to no time to worry about something as insignificant as forks. For me & a great many others, they take nothing away from the overall look of a healthy head of waves. The same goes for a neglected crown. I just think this new generation overcomplicates the simpler aspects of the game

I totally feel you on this!! While I'm not AGAINST wash & styles, fact of the matter is it has its drawbacks. But new school wave culture has made it more of a mandate than a guideline. Also like you, I like my hair to look "naturally layed down" than brutally "compressed." I also realize you're from TN wh where the mindset is more open to change. Most of the more accomplished wavers are from the west coast where they tend to be more about trends.
