Truck tires usually weigh around 200lbs. The engine usually weighs around 3000lbs. It all depends on the tire and the engine though. Could be more or less. That’s just the average.

Hey, they were nice enough to leave the O2 sensors behind. The ripped mine along with some fuel lines. $7500 later, I put a plate to counter that issue. Another $650 for that. edit: I forgot to mention it took 6 months for all parts to come to the dealership.

Thats one of the 4 fasteners that fasten the shifter to the gearbox. Whilst you were lining up the shifter you dropped it in there accidently. Happened to me before and i retrieved it the exact same way. Those magnets can be priceless at times like this. Someone said something about some mechanics leaving it in there which i seriously doubt. You need that bolt, if you leave it in there and use different bolt, it would be real easy for anyone to uncover your bullshit. This is a cardinal sin to drop it in there and just leave it that way. Immediately fired. That bolt will surely get jammed in somethiing , probably the synchronizers if your lucky and not break any gear teeth off. Theres too much stuff jammed in there for it to just fall to bottom and not create casualties. Too too many gears all moving in close tolerances until they get a bite on that 10.9 metric fastener bathed in blue loctite. Any sane, rational, self respecting tech gonna bite the bullet and tell boss they dropped the bolt and need assistance getting it out. Your boss will def appreciate that you didnt just allow it to grenade itself with the bolt bouncing around inside case.This bolt could wind up costing your boss thousands of dollars and more importantly tarnish the shops good name.
