THIS HAS TAKEN TOO LONG! | Cattle Muck Out And Wholecrop Silage Bales In!
In this one I'm flying solo once more! Dad is away on a well earned holiday and I decide to take matters into my own hands and muck a shed out in order to get some kit put inside. After that, I head down to the whole crop and start carting the bales...but that doesn't go smoothly!
I hope you enjoy it.

    why compost instead of using a manure spreader?

    • @baldysfarm
      @baldysfarm Pƙed 5 dny

      Honestly, I find we get a better spread with composted muck and we also don’t want to be spreading too much onto the grazing platform during the grazing season. Also, we use contractors for muck spreading so haven’t got a spreader of our own.

      We put in 200-300kg urea 46% N to about 850L water and spread that over about 8Ha. But wouldn’t put more unless I was spreading it over larger area, especially if there is clover in the grass as it will scorch it out.

    Its tough James. I've had a tough tough week too. I buried my 44 year old daughter on Monday. 5 years battling cancer. Left a Husband and three children. RIP 🙏.
