Given the current administration and the CEO at H-D, "the motor company" will go all-out to crank out two-wheeled sewing machines (with foreign parts). I've been riding since the mid 1960s, and I don't see how EV bikes will keep all of us away from Doomsday's door. A two-cylinder motorcycle engine will NEVER put out enough emissions to do any damage to the atmosphere. Of course, the generation who is coming along has been brainwashed by "enviro-warriors" at every level of education -- grade school through college. Social media is to blame, as well. I agree with you guys about this country's antiquated electrical grid. I just hate when career politicians play "god" over us. God keep America free. Ride safe.

We don’t have the infrastructure and we have to rebuild our current infrastructure to handle that type of power consumption. It will take at least until 2050 to build it out. EVs are a bad investment who knows what kind of technology we will have in 2050. Most companies are steering away from going all electric. Toyota has been testing other technologies so I don’t see full EVs in Harley to vehicles anytime in the near future

Not Mad about the fact that Harley got the money, but what I am unhappy about is flushing GOOD money after bad money for EV motorbikes that literally NO ONE wants, NO ONE wants an electric motorbike that lives outside of a METRO area. It is a purely CITY BIKE.

They could get more younger riders if Harley would build them smaller CC bikes. Like Oklahoma can get license at 14 but they really need to be 300cc or smaller. My Son drives Harley’s, but he is real careful and usually rides beside me. Check him out at Milwaukee this year. Registration is more expensive because they a recouping some of this money for road repairs because they do t pay gas taxes for roads.

The US has many issues with the Electric grid, but most of it is an issue with it being too distributed between many small companies. If they had State run or Federal Regional controlled power companies it would be able to easily produce and distribute electricity demand throughout the country.

H-D is playing a bit with the words, they are probably including all Serial 1 e-bikes as well as the Livewires. It is still under H-D control.

Who's going to buy them? If I have to stop my bike every 100 miles and wait 70 mins for it to charge before I can ride again. Screw that that will ruin your whole day. And no engine to hear rumble when you twist the throttle. They seem to not even understand why we ride.

Tons of EV’s here in California but the problems are many. Lack of charging stations. Vandalism of charging stations. Combined with Californias de carbonization and closing of natural gas power plants. There is a huge lack of energy production. This is even more of problem with AI coming on line which requires huge amounts of electricity to operate. So basically the infrastructure is not in place to support all EV. The infrastructure needs to be developed 1st. Then HD can roll out the SOYGLIDE the E bagger.

Electric vehicle sales are on a continuous climb. Q1 2021 over 100k were sold that quarter, and it's been a steady climb every quarter to Q3 2023 over 350k sales that quarter. The market doesn't show any signs of slowing or leveling off, so I understand the statement about "overwhelming EV demand".

Here’s a thought , if Harley’s one day become all EV, then, what’s the point in owning a Harley???? Harley’s stand out due to their feel, sound & looks. The motor vibration/ feeling is everything. If that’s lost, then why buy a Harley EV MC over a competitor?

CA and FL are looking at registration fees based on mileage because they lost the gas tax.

I have a feeling that they are going to use the money for live wire production in China. With a shorter range it makes more sense to have evs in Europe and Asia. Then there is no tariff taxes to pay.

I just did a paid survey for a motorcycle manufacturer on EV motorcycles. I am assuming it was for Ducati. I was 100% against EV vehicle of any kind. The questions they asked me told me they have no idea about EV problems for customers.
