I Made A Wooden Baby Rattle With Captive Rings
In this video I am covering how I made a wooden Baby rattle with captive rings, that will be a gift for my cousins newborn son. I have wanted to try a project with captive rings for quite some time now, but have not had any real inspiration for a project.
A children's toy is a very enjoyable thing to make, especially when it is the child of a friend or family member. This wooden Rattle is made from Beech, so it should be very hard wearing and will stand up to the abuse it is likely to receive in the hands of a curious infant!
This is my first time making a wooden baby rattle, and my first time cutting captive rings, I thoroughly enjoyed the project, and I hope you enjoy watching it. If you have any question or feedback, please leave a comment on the video and I will reply as soon as possible.

DIY Center Marking Tool - Make an Easy Center Marking Jig

In this video I will be showing you how to make a DIY Center Marking Tool. This Center Marking Jig is incredibly useful for marking a line down the center of a piece of stock, the marking Jig will work on many different thicknesses of wood, and if you often work with larger pieces, then you can simply make the Jig longer! This Center Marking Tool may be a one trick pony, but it is a really usef...
Ryobi Cordless Glue Gun - The Best Cordless Glue Gun for Crafts and Woodworking?

Thinking about buying a Ryobi Cordless Glue Gun? about 18 months ago I upgraded to the Ryobi Glue Gun from a small and cheap craft glue gun. I really struggled with the small size and short cable. • @mattchew5965
      @mattchew5965 Před 2 lety

      Looking into my first glue gun. At the $100ish USD price point, the Ryobi battery or Surebonder Industrial corded with more features both look interesting. I initially need it for planer sled jointing, and now appreciate your comment about using hot glue as an initial bond before properly mounting said piece. Also viewed on CZcams an acrylic sheet, aluminum rail, adjustable screw height, planer sled that levels a slab without glue and can be made for around $150. What I found interesting there was the ability to raise screws in the middle of the sled rather than only shimming height from the sides. Not entirely sure if that makes such an important difference given that planers primarily reference the bottom edge, but I found it an interesting sled feature to keep in mind nonetheless. czcams.com/video/Cky5Mv-5840/video.html
