Left UNI 10 years ago , this is exactly how I remember it, the people you once saw everyday , gone , the teachers you saw everyday gone, and that last walk towards home , the last piece of your youth gone before you're sucked into the system of full on adult routine , Time flies but you never forget . i graduated in 2017 - it is strange how much this scene bought up a lot of emotions and memories of friends, living, studying - a major chapter in mine and everyone else's life - and then just one day, you're packed up - room empty, kitchen empty etc and its done. The times of sitting in peoples rooms watching things online, discussing classes and what you're studying, tea and dinner etc. For anyone who is still in Uni now - i'd urge you to savour the little moments and cherish it while you have it. Because one day, you'll probably watch this video & feel what the comment section is saying.

I just finished my fifth watchthrough and this ending undoes me every time. What absolutely wonderful show.

That would have been a good ending. When I first saw the original ending, I was bitterly disappointed and absolutely gutted. It was just........wrong. The dream sequence where he climbed over the cars and expressing his feelings for Kayleigh looked and seemed so genuine and convincing.

I know I'm really late, but I miss Lindsey.

The version I saw, had Tom Rosenthal's - It's OK playing and it hit equally hard

Watching this on my last ever train home from uni 😢

Never went to uni. Haven't really experienced that sort of life relentlessly as they did in this show but I can imagine it's pretty accurate. The pain on josies face is so sad. I genuinely felt it with how abruptly it ended. This is one of those series you wish you could forget so you could watch it again for the first time.

This series did 2 things great; 1 encapsulated how uni ends from the big party to “that’s it” and 2, it made me miss uni

this scene was very depressing especially seeing josie all on her own at the end. if this is how I feel about the end of an era on a made-up university comedy series I hate to see what this will be like in 4 years' time when I finish uni.

I graduated 30 yrs ago and this still hurts today.This was an era before social media really kicked in. So I’ve lost contact with the majority of friends I made. An age of innocence. I can recall having a discussion that we were all friends but once we left it would be money which would separate us. In general being at school or uni was or should be the best days of your life. Once one starts working “they” pay you a wage to kill your dreams. What hurts the most is the sense of freedom we had and being on the same level. You have to feel for those who studied during the pandemic.

Great series. Shows the beauty of 'getting to know someone' rather then the 'hook up/online dating culture' if you can call it that, that has been foisted upon us all.

I’m 52yo, this last scene brought back memories of my last day of education and entering the world of being a responsible adult. I did the exact same thing as Josie; I also went into each of the classrooms where we had lectures and remembering my first day and where everyone sat. This song was a perfect choice as it has a melody that evokes precious memories of our youth.

Never went to Uni but can relate to the ‘one last look’ thing, all those memories and then it just ends, that’s when you know things will never be the same again.

So glad I found everyytone else feeling the same way in the comments. I finished uni 3 years ago and started fresh meat before uni and finished it after uni. Hits a bit too fucking close to home

Just recently saw this on Netflix, it must have passed me by when it was on CH4. Was genuinely sad when it finished, felt like saying goodbye to a group of friends. Top show though.

Handy note: Don't ever let entertainment corporations take your money to "redistribute" a show to you in a second format, region, etc. They will happily chop it to pieces because they care more about saving a buck than letting you see the art you paid for. Find other means to watch it as it was originally created, whether the suits make money for it or not. In other words, this version is infinitely better than the scene on Netflix/Roku/other bullshit.
