@@BrokeN.97 that card does require some as far as I can remember. Sadly, I gave that GPU to a friend local to me a long time ago so I don’t recall if it takes PCI 6 pin or 8 pin power.

@@BrokeN.97 caps lock? And it depends on what you need. If it’s for like a classic Mac Pro, then a GT 610 or GT 710 is a nice option. Other than that, I can’t really give a specific recommendation. Maybe a GT 1030 would do okay for Minecraft?

If it has a revised GPU, then it can be worth keeping around, as it is able to upgrade to macOS Sonoma using Open Core Legacy Patcher (OCLP) As far as upgrades go, it maxes out at 6GB RAM, and can use a SATA SSD. An SSD will be absolutely required if you want any decent speed in a modern OS of any kind. The RAM situation is a little awkward since 4GB DDR2 SODIMMs are a bit pricey, but I would go to at least 4GB RAM. Video games are an… awkward situation for it since it’s a much older system. If you’re looking to run older or much lighter titles it could be absolutely perfect, especially if you boot up Windows on it. Fortunately, Apple did write 64-bit Windows drivers so booting Windows 10 on it is super easy so long as you can burn Windows 10 to a DVD, since it’ll only support MBR booting from a disc. Hopefully I’ve answered your question!

try to remove the trackpad and clean the case where it sits, there is probably a lot of dirt and dead skin stopping it from clicking propely considering how nasty it was inside
See, I did that off camera. It was pretty filthy, and after cleaning, it didn’t seem like it did much at first. After some further testing, it seems like it’s working as normal.

I was gonna do an El Cap install on a Late 2006 (2,2) MacBook Pro and the ad skip thing also wouldn’t work for me at all. I guess the tool is just totally broken as of now, which is really annoying.

I haven’t messed with the iMac in the video for a long time now, though I do have a late 2006 (2,2) MacBook Pro I was gonna use Mac Post Factor on for El Capitan. I can also try Mavericks and see how it’ll work.
You should be using the SSD instead of the HDD cause HDD is slower than the SSD and boosting the ram could goes up to 4GB of ram and max are 6GB which is different than the 4GB..you should be getting the upgrades done and it is well runs even with the El-Capitan Patcher also in 2023.
I'll be honest, i don't have this machine anymore. However, since this is a Core Duo, and not a Core 2 Duo, MacBook, it wont boot if it has more than 2GB (2x1GB) of RAM in it. While i would love to see these 32 bit machines run anything past Snow Leopard, they simply cannot.

I did a similar upgrade on my fat PS3 last year (120 GB SSD replaced the 60 GB HDD) Have you had any trouble with the SSD since installing? Every so often when the PS3 starts it will say "appropriate storage not found". Restarting the system seems to fix the issue and it may not happen again for months.

Hey! It should work just fine. One thing to note is the boot screen will not show with this method.

I got a lot of 3 6S and a 5C and a 4S. The 4S was iOS 7 no IC but everything else had bad screens and were IC locked so I paid 45 for a 4S. Yay me
Jailbreak with checkra1n and bypass passcode with sliver for mac.
I did that on a 6S and it works except iCloud services don’t work. It also was only 32GB

You need to download a PS3 Firmware Manually by using a FAT32 Formatted usb with the Update Data in it
