This is AMAZING!
They have the bata drum in Cuba from enslaved Africans.
From yoruba
their dance it reminded me of the dances they make in argentinean carneval even the rythm is a bit similar
If you came to hear some fantastic drumming from any of the four featured groups, you will be disappointed. I especially wanted to hear the batas.
interesting 👍
Rest in peace Baba Jeje

Like father like son indeed. I chose to watch the bata drums aspect because of my deep passion for this drums - bata, my Christian convictions and faith notwithstanding. I read it in my Bible and held fast to it that "every good and perfect gift comes from above, and from The Father of light,....." James 1:17.
Oh God! Thank you for creating Yoruba people.
I'm from venezuela but I play afrocuban bata drums and this really feels like home indeed.
Great work great culture and artistry. I will have the privilege to hear and watch this in real life one day. Thanks for promoting what is left of our identity.
