Why would we want to drag black men "to" church? Teach them they Are...the church!!!

I don’t know any single straight black men that go to church.

The prosperity doctrine and the money hungry preachers is not of God. So just because many are using Jesus name to promote their false teachings and false actions doesn’t give you, me or anyone an excuse not to follow Jesus who is “the way the truth and the life.” When we stand before God are we going to say well they were false teachers, prophets and doctrines in the church that’s why I didn’t follow Jesus? No, each of us have a responsibility and a choice to follow Christ not the ways of man or false prophets who has distorted the doctrines of the Bible. If we do go to a church, be sure to attend a church that is biblical based. We must repent and seek and build a relationship with Jesus. Ask God to fool us with his Holy Spirit and to guide us into a righteous path.

I wonder how many of the brothers have been to church with their father or grew up seeing their fathers go to church. I ask because I notice that In religions like Judaism and Islam where men are highly involved and are dominant they have a higher rate of men and boys attending. Could the absence of a father role model as a church attendee be a factor at play in black men not going to church.

One main thing is that church needs to be intentional with time.

Many women in church have husbands that just don't attend. Feminism, baby mamas, homosexuality, music is different. They rather watch football too.

Black men will come to church if the pastor's sermons are to put down black women. Just look at the many podcast like Kevin Samuels and others whose platform degraded black women. They had so many male followers. Another way is to allow black men to commit adultery and fornicate. Black men don't want to be disciplined about sex. So if the church relaxed more you will see these men fill the churches. Now everything I said goes against God's word which I'm not for. Black men want to be able to do what they want to do in the churches and no man nor woman should tell them what to do regardless if it's right. Just don't hold them accountable and let them run things you will fill the churches with black men.

Excuses. The pastor does not have a heaven or hell to put you in. If there are some good pastors, why not go to those pastors churches? Because you don’t want to. There is always and I mean always an excuse from this specific group of men. I know men who live down the street from their kids but they still don’t ever see their kids. Always an excuse. If a community is only as strong as families and communities the men in particular, that explains the horribly weak state of the black community.

If people understood that Christ has a church, knew how to identify it in scripture and worshipped there a lot of people wouldn't "leave". Unfortunately, the problem is that people "go to church", this is another reason why it is so easy to walk away. According to scripture, being in the "Lord's body" (which is the church) is essential to salvation. The purpose of church is to worship God in SPIRIT and TRUTH. According to scripture worship, it is a command for those who have obeyed the gospel. It's not an option.

Excellent conversation , my experience is a rear Pastor that can be humble. I've been in church 68 yr, and so discourage . We need to stop. please remember Pastors are servants, assigned to feed the sheep. .

In this conversation, how did you never bring up the church's allegiance to LGBTQ, women's role in families and as wives, women's promiscuity and birthing children by men they don't want and provocative clothes many women wear in church. I've done the proper research and this is why I don't go to church anymore, but Have any of you ever did the real research of where Christianity and man-made religions origins came from? For starters, why isn't the book of Enoch in the Bible? One of the oldest Bibles is the Ethiopian Bible and it contains this book so why doesn't the King James version❓ Let's start there...🤔

There are plenty of black men that go to church…..how about we focus on THEM?!!! Rather than talk about why some choose not to attend. Who cares if they don’t wanna go to church?????

All I have to say about this premise is: THE DEVIL IS A WHOLE LIAR!!!😡😡😡 The majority of pulpits I know of have seen or hear told of is pastored by a man behind the sacred desk. The majority of church boards are male. The majority of deacons on the deacon board are male. And there are whole denominations of churches that don’t allow women to preach or teach men. So I think that what you mean as church needs to be widened just a little bit😒

I went to a church and they thought i was there for a wife are girlfriend so i left.then i found a church and i had to let them know i'm not there for a wife or girlfriend. Then it got better.

Satan attacks men through thwir intellect, men try to present the "logical and reasonable" cause for not going to church So therefore you have women in the majority attending church. The church is crying out for more men,yet the men say aint nothing but women running the church. Well it wouldn't be that way if men would come to church,get on the board and help advise the pastor and read your Bible and stop trying to find a reason to dislike the church and the pastor. We are to associate with like minded people because the world iß not for you and will lead you to hell. So brother's should help in the church instead of staying outside and criticize.

Thanks everyone for talking about these subjects the one thing I saw as abeliver staying in community for 18 years and there was a lots of churches in the community never seen the pastor of these churches what happen to the churches going to door to door looking for lost soul or just showing love from the churches

One thing I've seen in the church that's disheartening to men,is pastors catering to women,showing favoritism. The women then talk to their husbands saying:"my pastor said this,my pastor said that",because they worship the pastor instead of knowing Gid's Word for themselves.A godly husband ain't having that.

Out in Arizona,myself and a brother,picked out a random church to go to,God in Christ church ,I believe.Wellvwecwentvinside and sat down and realized we were the only whites in the church.No big deal.tovus.But the pastor welcomed us as Jewish brethren.And went off on the sexual sins of black community. Telling them he wish they could keep themselves sexually pure like our Jewish brothers.So some how God had revealed to him we were there as an example of keeping yourself for God.I don't know the end result of his message,but the congregation was respectful,and very welcoming,it was a positive experience as far as we were concerned.

Church requires accountability.

1) Church is just too hard. It’s 1 more responsibility for us. Wife, kids, job, emotional management, protector, example, figure head, etc. 2) Even though we are social beings we aren’t built socially the same way black women are. 3) Our emotional issues tend to be way different than women. 4) sexual struggle

I was a faithful member of the church for 12 years..... The church cater to the women.. the women are easy to manipulate out of money.... Plus all they talk about is prosperity... THE CHURCH IS MONEY HUNGRY

It is God Himself who instituted offering from the time of Adam. You don’t give to please the Pastor but you give offering to worship God with your substance. You don’t go to worship the Lord empty handed especially, if you have something to give, even if it is small. Remember One day Jesus Christ sat next to the offering box and watched the people as they were giving their offerings and a Poor Widow gave her last two copper coins. No human being has an excuse for not worshipping God or fellowship with other Believers. (Hebrews 10:25). There are many good Churches out there in every Community.👌🏾
