Monasticism is a big word, I had to look it up. Isolating one's self like a monk away from others to work on your relationship with God. I didn't know but I've been doing it. I noticed when I was around my usual people, that it puts me in my usual ways which isn't focused on God. When I do the Monasticism thing it's like I'm putting in work for God and can see the benefits because of the state of mind I'm in. I can't just turn on and off my emotions and doing the usual makes me more upbeat I guess along with some negative emotions depending. For example the everyday can bring gossip. It's hard being humble when you go out and the people you're around are gossiping. That doesn't put me in a positive state of mind for God. Gossip kind of makes one think you're better than those you're gossiping about and that's the opposite of what God wants but it's so easy to fall into when you're around the usual. Sometimes you need days/weeks away from it all to have more positive emotions such as humbleness and being somber so you can better listen to God during that time. Fasting is good during this time too. Combine it all and you really benefit during prayer, like "wow I cried during that prayer, that was pretty powerful."

My wife left with my daughter, said I worked to much. I lost 4 years to depression. NF's music is the only reason I never pulled the trigger. I am now getting my shit together so if you are on the edge, its possible to come back.

8 months ago i was listening to this song while on meth and wanted to be clean so bad. God is great and will help you overcome anything. I am 7 months clean off drugs. I have an amazing job making good money now. Was dealing with eviction and my power being cut off. Now everythings paid life is amazing and i have a baby girl that will be born next week. God is good and deserves the highest praise.
