Written and performed by Hal Rice with Mike "Hugo" Wright on drums SHE MOVED ME You choose me She tastes me like fall She chose me Selects me first overall I need me, my needs won’t stand up at all She moved me Pulled me down like a wine She told me Her novels sold for a dime I’m failing, I make no sense of it all She blessed me Tie-dyed my new tennis shoes She folds me Rolled up and tossed wit...

    Man I love this song. When Tom Ardolino joined the band, he and Al Anderson almost made this band a local group, and I got to see them well over a dozen times. I saw the reunion concert (2004?), and they were a blast. I loved Tom 'the bomb' Staley, but Steve Ferguson's guitar needed to be recorded MUCH more. he made Al Anderson sound a but staid. Thanks for posting this!

    This song in the original has such an emotional pull to it that most covers of it fail, they just don't have that same rawness which made the original so compelling. But this version is a knockout. You guys done did it!

    Oh, man! How "Old T" could describe the whole Country Scene from A to Z! He was the greatest *EVER* and will never be surpassed. I have over 2GB of Tom T. Hall's mp3 songs collected over many years. There may be some duplicates but they are *ALL* great to me. Tom T. Hall sums it up himself in one of his songs: "What A Song!". Listen to that and realise just how great he was.

    OH WOW!!! I haven't heard this song since the 70's... The "Alternative Rock" radio station I was glued to then in Bethesda, Maryland was WHFS 102.3 played this from time to time! Coming from "High Atop The Triangle Towers"! Great memories and great music! I knew what an RC Cola was, but I didn't know what a Moon Pie was!? I believe what I discovered later were "Scooter Pies"... very similar, if not the same as a "Moon Pie"!?

    • @davehoagland8869
      @davehoagland8869 Před 4 měsíci

      1984 and every Friday we'd leave the office at 5:00 and Weasel would kick off the weekend trilogy, Wild Weekend, Here comes the Weekend and Party Weekend, at least that's how I remember it. I moved to Maryland from the North Shore of Oahu in 1969 and absolutely hated it. The only thing worth a damn was WHFS, the greatest radio station of all time! NRBQ was prominent and a DC favorite, Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds...DC did have a great music scene but I beat feet for San Francisco in 1987 with a babe who was every bit as desperate to escape the east coast as I was. Now coming to you from Rancho Sueno Azul, La Ventana, Baja MX! czcams.com/play/PLn7htiuEJplGz37-6aZxfpKOkPY9_Gh1S.html

      @@davehoagland8869 Since Weasel was unceremoniously canned a couple of years ago, I have not listened to WTMD for one second and have stopped supporting them financially. Weasel's Wild Weekend was the highlight of mine and I am sure many thousands of other's, weekend.
