Hello everything is fine? Do you know why it's not possible to find old videos of athletes practicing shadow wrestling? There are videos dating back more than a century, showing boxers practicing shadow boxing.

So I was taught to outside step, pull them over me, and duck my head. I don’t get on my knees when I do this tho. Is that wrong?
You don’t have to go to your knee. There is a right time to hit every move

Yes it can be used in various ways. Strength, conditioning, cool down, warm up etc
What if he tries to hit some king of roll?
He most definitely could. It depends on which way they roll. But typically when they roll you could switch to a cross face. So you would try to power half if they go the other way then cross face

First it would be just learning the mechanics of the shot and penetrations I would put something together

then you take him to one side or the other. crossface or powerhalf. if they do sit out that is a better opportunity for opponent to escape. so need to take them to one side or the other.

As a wrestler, you shouldnt be caught in this type of position in the first place because everything has to be tight and close together when you wrestle, your elbows should be tight to your body at all times especially when you shoot for a takedown or try to handfight and engage in the clinch
yes defenantly want to stay in good position always. but it is wrestling and eventually everyone will end up in some type of bad position thats how points are scored.

Hi there I respect the D1 skills that you show off!! Do you got any tips for staying light on the shoulders during sprawls?? I notice on nearly all of my sprawlouts my shoulders take a good brunt of the impact. It feels pretty uncomfortable especially towards the end of a training session. Does it just come down to conditioning or is there more technique involved?
