No shoes, really? You're unsafe.
@@Gmar69 and what is unsafe about what I am doing that I would need shoes? Think I will cut my toes off?
I can’t find any videos on where to jack up the rear to take the tires off
Where did you get those turn out pipes?
Found them on ebay tho have looked a while back and couldn't find them on stock
@@robertmalensek5736 Did you friction-fit them onto your stock pipes, or was there any cutting/welding? I bought a set of tips and they are just so slightly loose when fitting over the stock exhaust.
@Amanda-xl9xy I just slid them on and pushed them tight agianst the weld and haven't moved since. Locked on pretty tight
@@robertmalensek5736 appreciate the answer, thanks!
They sound like a Harley ,very nice sounding mower
I just bought my first zero turn mower today and it’s a23 Rogue , it will be delivered in a couple of days . I can’t wait 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice
I bought a 2023 Rogue. It is a strong mower made with heavy steel and is beautifully simplistic in design. Was designed by race car people and it shows. I didn’t have any loose bolts or any other defects at all. It is very loud though. It is like a tornado the way it mows. Has a 39HP EFI engine and is a 72” deck.
I added pipes to get the sound a lot more manageable
Can you step on the deck of the Rambler? I can't find that info anywhere.
I have not looked at the new Ramblers would think so but would ask Bad Boy. They have good customer service
Ive got the same mower. Do you happen to know what the micron rating is for the badboy hydro filters? I want to go with Wix but they show the ones youre using & they show a 51519. The microns & price are quite a bit different. Thanks.
I do not know that info did some reasearch and that is the ones I found that they said worked for it. I am sure there a few that will work. I can't recall even where I got them. Hope the video helped you out!
That jack has an adjustment screw that controls pedal return.
How did you attach the exhaust extensions weld on or clamp on?
I've owned 5 top of the line commercial Bad Boys since 2008 and I've loved them all especially after the 2008 model. It had some cut issues but after it they fixed it. Also I found to NOT buy the mulchinng blades and buy the Fusion blades. The fusion gives you a better lift of the grass and gives a quality cut. Recently I've owned a 2019 Rogue and the rear suspension ends broke 2 different times but were easy to fix. So far I haven't had an issue on the Renegades. I currently own 2 Renegades (2021 & 2023), and I love them. I wondered about the horizontal engine if I would like that but so far it's been nice. The only thing on the 2023 the only engine they offer is the Kohler EFI. I sure wanted the Kawasaki EFI but I would have had to chose the Rogue. I didn't want to give up the Renegades rear drop-down back plate feature with the ease of getting to the belts/pulleys, so I chose it. Let me tell you there is not a more powerful engine on these than the Kawasaki, they are awesome but the non-efi does use a lot of fuel. I sure wanted to know how the new 2023 Kawasaki EFI turned out. I litterally think the EFI engines after having 3 of them (Yamaha, Vanguard, Kohler) use half the gas than the Kawasaki but it's an awesome good engine. On the mowing at night, you are correct.......bugs will tear you up. It's absolutely necessary to wear a grinding shield or at least clear goggles at night. I personally wouldn't own one without the flat-free front tires. Never a problem. The biggest feature on all of the Bad Boys I've owned is the "ease of repair and maintenance"...........everything is easy to get to and a lot of repair parts like spindle bearings can be bought at your local parts store. If you really don't appreciate that then go take a look at some of the commercial competitors side by side and you will see the nightmare on some of the others getting to the repair areas. Bad Boy used to get parts shipped same day but that went down since Covid, I'm a little pissy about that.
I got right at 3 qts in mine and ot up to the bottom of the fitting in the sight glass. Also did anybodys wheels turn when the bypass valve was open???? Mine did..
Little confused for me you lose the bypass nuts wy is need to do it ? and I don't see you tied back on before you run you wheels
Leave them open to run fluid threw and get the air out if any.
The problem with the tank lights is it casts a giant shadow precisely where you need to see - in front of you. The tank lights are great as auxillary 'ditch' lights but you need a light bar up front. I have thought about this and will mount a light bar on the roll cage where the line is 'light' is not obscured with shadowing. Just my thoughts.
What I've seen and experienced is 1st the X blade will tear up your PTO twice as fast due to the shock and the weight of the extra blades but the do work. It will mulch grass if you close the chute because the grass has no where to go. It will not mulch as good as when you have the mulch kit on there and I've seen that 1st hand. It will bog the machine down and you do have to cut slower. I think if I had a smaller yard like 1/2 acre instead of 3 I would mulch but I don't want to mow that much at half speed
rogue not rouge on video title. great video!
For belt replacement, do you have an idler that holds the belt close to the pulley? I think I’m going to have to remove the idler on mine so that I can get my old belt off and put a new belt on. I can’t find any videos on how to do this. 😢
I didn't have to remove it to put it on tho was very tight
@@robertmalensek5736 I was able to remove mine. It was a chore but I finally figured it out. I tried to get the old belt off without removing it but, unfortunately, the belt would not go in between that rod and the pulley.
Where did you get the pipes, what size are they? Thanks!
From ebay will have to look and see if I can find the size
I believe they are 1-1/2 ebay wouldn't let me go back that far.
The hydro filler caps separate so the entire body does not need to be removed. Pull the plastic pin and give small turn to separate. The leash will hold too to bottom of filler cap.
Good job, I have the bad boy elite model 54” cut, Kawasaki engine, Noise has been a problem but I think my noise comes from the deck, as it does not make that much noise when the deck is not running, I added a hitch and a old man’s mount handle plus the adjustable handles asi am a big boy, So far it’s been a great mower, I added the poor boy Shute plug, you bolt it on would love to have one like yours, Take care, Wow, you need to work for bad boy research and improvement department
Bad boy does make great mowers. I just like Hustler Fas trak 54. Like your video. Nice mower.
Still loving it... Hustler makes good mowers also.
Where did you find the exhaust tips at? I have a bad boy rebel and want some
I found them on ebay.
How does the tires do for not rutting up the yard while turning around? Also, does the deck have grease fittings on the pulleys? Thanks alot
The tires are ruff on the yard, I have it down so I don't do it any more but took some practice. And the arms that attach to the deck have grease fittings.
@@robertmalensek5736
I've got the same one. I'd wouldn't recommend it I think they discontinued it anyway. Lots of flaws.
It does not work I have one and I recommend you don’t get one it makes a mess. Covers you and mower with dirt and leaves
Definitely have to work the wind in your favor, or get covered
Does your overhead light draw bugs at night ?
Yup
@@robertmalensek5736 Thanks.
Cant find anything for mine either. What length are your belts? Ive got a 30" and a 32" and cant seem to get the spindle to not slip. Thanks!
A 30 A 33
How is the Lucas Red N Tacky grease holding up for wheel bearing use?
Doing good
Does it offer a bagger system?
Yes the do.
Robert, I have same year & model. You mention the uncut grass & putting washers on top of the blades. Is it not cutting properly in just one portion of the deck or is it at random spots? I believe its due to the baffle being too long there in front of the blades.
If mowing fast leaves a little uncut grass when cutting.
I have a late 2019 model & mine was leaving a strip of random uncut grass from the left blade. After the dealer didn't seem to want to mess with it, I cut an inch of the baffle out & now it cuts like it should.
I was planning on buying one, Robert how has yours held up since day one?
It is doing good. Had to raccoon proof it other than that still works great
That tailpipe mod was very professional looking. Nice work.
Nice mower.
How did you attach the turnouts onto the exhaust?
I just slid them on and pushed as they got tight at the back and have not moved
Your voice is awesome. So smooth and easy to understand. Great accent. Thanks for the video.
Are those the bypass valves that will allow the mower to free wheel??
Yes
@@robertmalensek5736 thank you!
Thanks for the idea. What size is the turnout pipe?
1 1/4 X 8
You shouldn’t lower your blades. You were driving to fast for the blades that you have. Get blades that have a higher bend on the backside of them which helps lift and or suck the grass more up into the blades for when driving faster!
Had high lift blades and shouldn't have to drive the speed of a regular lawn tractor.
@@robertmalensek5736 well If you don’t have the right blades can make a difference. Plus ppl don’t realize if the grass is a little wet, too tall makes a difference as well and don’t mention that. You can only go so fast in certain conditions. Plus another factor ppl don’t realize is also HP! Not enough rpm’s and going to fast blades don’t spin fast enough. Some problems can be the mower has to fast top end. Let’s not forget air pressure in your tires can make for patches not being mowed as well. Been there. Lol.. plus I know several ppl with those bad boys and never had the problems you had and they beat the crap out of theirs so they are not driving slow. I’m looking at get this year’s model. Adjustable handles, seat with the suspension. Which felt nice when I drove one. Suspension front and rear. Pretty nice.
@@mxr248 love my mower and what I did fixed my issues. Super machine with plenty of power.
Thanks for the video and for wearing sandals I’ve never seen so many people flip out about sandals. When pulling a mower in a garage forward 3ft is dangerous you know we live in a pampered society
People would flip out watching me do yard work in my Reef sandals🤣
I have the 2021 model year. I agree it’s loud, where did you get the muffler turnouts
Found them on ebay
1 1/2 inlet 8 inch long stanless
Thanks for being so honest with your review
I tried the Infinity saddle, and found it so-so, but I prefer the Spongy Wonder and Spiderflex. But when I tried to return it -- in new condition -- Infinity wouldn't accept it. So don't buy it unless you don't mind losing the money (or reselling it) if you don't like it.
Can you tell me how much gas you burn per hour? Some say that Kawasaki 1000 sucks a lot of gas. I'm going to buy a Rogue soon, and I'm trying to decide between the Kawasaki 1000, or the Vanguard with EFI. Gas is expensive these days...
I have no idea as I just mow my yard, and I just don't keep track of that. I know it isn't easy on fuel compared to my old rider per hour but what took me almost 4 hours to mow I can do in less than a hour if I get in a hurry. I have heard the Yamaha does well on fuel don't know about the Vangard. Sorry I can't be more helpful. If it quits raining here and the yards dries up I can fill it up and mow and see how much it takes.
@@robertmalensek5736 Thanks for the reply. My dealer called me this morning and told me they just got one in with the 33HP Yamaha EFI engine on it. I quickly went over and purchased it. That should be a great combo of power and fuel efficiency!
Just joined your channel sir... The videos help alot... I have the exact mower you have...
Glad the help out!
They can come with a hitch. It's the dealers fault for not ordering it that way.
Looking for jack for husgavana
I would think it Should work on about any brand
I just mowed with new rouge for the first time an noticed it cut shorter that usual than what my maverick did at 3.5” I measured my blade height an it was set 3/4” lower than what the dial was set at…was wondering if u had ever measured your deck height on yours? & if it was low like mine
I adjusted my deck when I got it to make sure it was proper level and angle.
@@robertmalensek5736 heard that…what method did ya use?
I dropped my deck on 2 x 4 on the front and same on the rear with extra 1/4 shims
@@robertmalensek5736 thats what i was thinkin about doing…did u have to take any deck lift assist spring or shocks loose to drop the deck hangers?
No
Working around equipment with bare feet! Man, I question your video. Wasted my time!
Don't know what having shoes on has to do with the video of reviewing a jack, still tells about the jack and how it works!
@@robertmalensek5736 Goof.
Okay OSHA Pete!
I can personally vouch for the Rogue - mine is 61" with Yamaha 33hp engine - does not sound like a mower engine - sounds like a hot rod - have owned now for over 1 1/2 years - residential use - very pleased so far. Run AMSOIL synthetic in everything for best oil on Earth protection of everything. AMSOIL has a special 10 30 small engine oil and 20 50 hydrostatic - also have synthetic grease for the grease gun. On a 1-10 scale, it is as close to 10 as possible. Even got the fancy aluminum Vector rims for rear which are truly nice versus standard steel, and go perfectly with styling of Rogue versus plain jane steel. Thumbs...way up !
Do you still have this drill press? How has it held up for you?
Yes I do works great! Haven't had any problems with it!
@@robertmalensek5736 did you ever mount a XY table to it and do any light milling with it? Would it hold up to light milling in aluminum fairly well?
@@PaulKepnerProductions I did not try that. Would think it wouldn't have a problem as it seems to have plenty of power and seems to be made well.
