This was filmed over a summer, I helped maintain the old layout in the D&S off and on and often brought in my own motive power for the fun of it, feel free to ask any questions!

Playing a roll through my horribly out of tune 1921 Wurlitzer, I’d love to have it tuned but it has such a haunting sound the way it is so I think I’ll leave it alone 👌👌

Music to my ears !
The tender slide of the trailer
Oh, I love this backyard railroad! Got some Carolwood-esque action too!
А что за флаг у вас ? 3 цвета ?
Очень круто !!!❤❤❤
What a fantastic video. My thanks to whoever filmed and posted this video. A great job by the narrator too.
Ainda existe chance
Ele só precisa me ganhar na pista. Corre querido
Choo Choo Choo Choo Choo Choo 🚂
why this year it is fashionable to move these machines on their "last trip" (the other one that I have seen is "the empress" of Canada that passed through Canada, the United States and Mexico)
There's nothing I'd rather do than toil in 90 degree weather working on a heritage railroad other than working in 60 degree weather. Thats what loving trains is all about- busting your ass without complaint for something meaningful, for that glorious moment when you hear the whistle and see it speeding by.
Sounds just like the train in One Stormy Night from years ago.
I lived in California from 1967-1984, graduating from Davis High School (1977) and lived in Sacratomato while attending CSUS. I got to see the cab forward at the museum there when I visited in 1991 for the Rail Fair. These are unique and interesting steam engines. I have an HO version of the AC-10 SP Cab Forward in HO I hope to get out on the layout this year and run it!
Only in Colorado would you find a 100 year old *narrow gauge* steam locomotive passing a freaking McDonalds 😂
Coal trains have the best whistles. They're so much more Erie yet calming than those on diesel trains
I have my first live steam locomotive on it's way to me. Accucraft C-18. Can't wait! 😁
Feel free to bring it to Durango!
@@DeathValleyLumberCompany Haha! Would love to 👍
Love the whistle! Also I like how there's a steel bell on top of a box for the signals.
Really sucks that the Silver Panic of 1893 caused all of these mines and tramways to shut down. (Thanks Grover Cleveland)
Agreed yes But at the same time if they kept running we wouldn’t have this many historical sites intact
Great video!
Too much fun!
Looks like you guys had a really fun time on that track
Looks like you had a wonderful time looking at the abandoned area. And I hope you're having a wonderful time at the Durango and Silverton railroad for your job
I love that smoke 🗿
That is one beautiful 5 chime!!!😁
😊 kyle coubett
patching it while it’s hot?
Lindo de mais obra prima.
This is so American, you got McDonald’s in the back, and the big loud bellowing steam engine up front
Rock and roll mcdonalds! edit: why did i post this comment

Hermosa maquina imponente 😊😍
Hermosa maquina toda poderosa .
💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
1:35 there's a McDonald's near the yards of Durango. That always makes me laugh to see a McDonald's near the narrow gauge rails.
the stream engine shall returns ..... is amazing ..... is crazy..... goddamn it
Im american and ive never seen anything more american than a steam locomotive with the american flag passing a mcdonald's god bless America
Coal smoke is missing. That makes it a true train of the era. Changing to oil isn't the same thing. Cinder and ash make it truly a great train.
Sounds so good!!!!!!
