Yes! I absolutely agree!! I'm still learning a few tricks, here and there, and I've been testing out highlights on other models in-between videos. 😁 A model is really never done - it can always be improved! Also, I'll look into getting the 'Druchii Violet' you mentioned!

1) Yes! I have quite a few already build but not primed. I figured making videos would help motivate me to finish my Grey of Shame 😅 2) I love to play Kill Team! Last game was some Cadian ladies I painted up for fun, but I totally won 😉 - I haven't done any camo, but that doesn't mean I won't try it! Especially when I get to the Catachans soon 😎

Ooh~ I'm a huge Vermintide fan and will, for sure, dive into AoS!! :D

1. Dry brushing (if priming black) will help bring out all the details that can be difficult for us new painters, like values and depth when created with the technique. It's a shortcut to value, you could say! Maybe I'll create a video with and without dry brushing to help demonstrate it better. :) 2. Yes! For sure do!! I got a few flesh tones, and I tend to go towards that one, or lighter ones. I even use the darker tones for fur and other parts of the model, not just for skin tone.

@stylesheetra9411 ~ Priming dark then zenithal highlighting (dry brushing with the whites) and finishing with contrast or speed paints is a form of the “slap chop” painting method. Great method if you are a newer painter and/or have a ton of models you want to finish quickly and still look decent. You should try it. It’s effective for what it is and there are a ton of instructional vids on YT. ~ If dry brushing is giving you headaches, try making or purchasing a dry brush texture board. Use that to remove most of the paint off your drybrush before dry brushing the model, instead of paper towels or napkins. Paper can pull a lot of moisture out of the paint and when you drybrush it gives you a very “chalky” look. I made my own texture board by using a paint stirring stick from Home Depot (free) and covered it with texture paint. Good luck and happy painting!

Maybe start with less expensive models, 3d printed stuff or reaper mini or something like this, as rn warhammer is mad expensive

I agree with @stylesheetra9411, and will add to start with a larger model - like the Ogryn race or Orks! That way, there's more room to practice painting and less error cause there's no small parts to squeeze into. :) check on Ebay for prebuild ones, or older models, so you don't have to spend too much $$$ at the start. As for starting a collection, go through some of the factions and choose which ones best speak to you. I'm spread out with factions, but I'm becoming interested in the Space Wolves at the moment so I'm sure I'll grab one of them later. Hope all this helps! And remember - this should be an enjoyable hobby, not a stressful one. If you don't like the colors, give him a long bath in some alcohol, clean him up, then try again :) I've done that a few times, myself.

I have the same problem as you 😅, I am now doing MESBG orc and I think I am improving... in my last model I even used edge highlighting I would suggest you to start with a model you like but also that isnt expensive, and treat it like an hobby on its own. Start prime black every single model you have, but then only start painting one model at a time, do not rush and take your time. Like pick a model, drybrush it white or grey, pick the color you want (keep it simple) and decide where you want to put them, only then start painting, slowly and without an hurry On the internet you see guy speedpainting entire units in days, dont do that, it will kill your enjoyment Errors are always reversable, last orc I did I didnt dry my drybrush and basically I put white in all the recess ahaha, but at the end it was fine
