Take it from Pike's own kind and like. From their mouths. There is a full segment of this also Mike Glover Green Beret getting tooled by a BJJ Black Belt that is a lot smaller. Levels to things my friend. Special Ops are great at combat/weapons/tactics. The hand to hand fighting mastery goes to the pros in that space. Again is what it is. An MMA fight is the closest thing you can come to an anything goes punches and kicks street fight. An ACTUAL fight outside of sports setting. As I said, the MMA fighter would win in a sports setting inside a ring every time I agree. Real fighting is different than sports fighting because at the end of the day the participants in a sporting event know that it is just a game. There is more than just technical skill involved. There is a psychological component. Knowing that you are playing a game(even an extremely tough one) doesn't have the same element of fear as going into a real life to the death fight in the middle of a jungle where there are no rules, no referee, no one else around and you know that one of you is going to die. Also, MMA fighters have the privilege of knowing who their opponents will be several months in advance. They have the luxury of studying their opponent well in advance and formulating a strategy. You don't have that luxury in a combat situation. You are not going into a fight blind in a sports setting. In a random street fight, you can be dealing with someone who is mentally ill, high on PCP who doesn't feel pain, and is the equivalent of a rabid wild animal. Your opponent in a ring is not trying to murder you, they are trying to knock you out at most. At least one example I can think of of a pro fighter getting beat up in a street fight is BJ Penn in Hawaii. The Pro Fighter probably would prevail in the street fight most of the time too, but you need to understand that technical skill is not the only thing that wins fights. Treachery, ruthlessness, hatred, and viciousness wins fights. It is a mindset, more than just technical skills.

@@MMASLAMPODCAST I've seen alot of so called "MMA" guys get their asses handed to them as well. I'm not speaking specifically about these two men. I'm Speaking in general terms. I stand by what I said. There is a difference between fighting in a game versus fighting in real life. Also, in the sport, there are weight classes. In real life, you may be fighting someone significantly larger and stronger than you where your "MMA" skills will be useless. Just look up the greatest female boxer in history who lost to an average man with minimal fighting skills because she couldn't deal with his strength in the fight. Not to mention when the World's Strongest Man knocked out one of the Gracie brothers with one punch. Like you said, we can agree to disagree. Remember, there are no absolutes in this world.

I said in another comment that every time he wins, he gives me more reasons to doubt him. Maybe it's because he's getting a slow build against decent but not great opponents. They give him just enough trouble that his inexperience shows a bit.
