1:37 "your brother attacks the Great Houses" said nonchalantly is crazy lol yeah hes just about to go start a war
Holy War truly has begun
Hate she got mad because he warned her what would happen if he went south and shit went south
Ugh Chani is some scowling girl boss 'Letty' in this movie. Its so dumb and predictable. I wish she was more like in the books. I'm not surprised, as 'modern audiences' demand it, but it really is bad. One small stain on an otherwise great movie. Let's hope they course correct Chani in the next one.
Can someone explain to me how the fremen managed to helm those top of the line ships built from foreign technology ? I was genuinely in disbelief when this scene unfolded and it got me out of the movie...
Perhaps the control crew has been captured. Anyway, in the book it says that only the Space League have spaceships, and Paul blackmails them with the spice, because without it they can't fly. In the movie, the navigators are completely left out.
Эпичное кино конечно, хотя сравнивать приходится с мусором
Gurney was able to resume his former position as Warmaster to House Atreides, you could hear the pride in his voice being able to serve his Duke again
You can see the regret of having to hurt someone he loved in this scene it was beautiful
Chani calling an Uber right at the end sets the stage for the Holy War
You realize, at this point in the story, Paul is not the good guy anymore? And I wonder if these films are prepared to really deal with that.
Allahu Akbar
movies man...
What a letdown piece of shit.
I feel satisfied in this movie
Poor Rue never gets a happy ending.
Csodálatos ❤ Olyan megnyugtató 😊
Gratulálok!
2:25 this score omg. I’ve never felt sadness of leaving a world I’ve been immersed in for a good two hours since Sam closed the door of his hobbit hole in ROTK. As harsh Arrakis is, you can’t help but to feel these people are leaving a place they’ve called home and most of them are never coming back. Hans Zimmer really made you feel that pity .
Imagine how the film's reception would have changed if she had said "Jihad Begins."
❤❤❤
Gratulálok❤
Gratulálok, nekem már állandóan a fejemben van 😆😆🤩
Masterpiece
I sure hope Villeneuve makes Dune Messiah. It drives home the point of what Herbert was saying about followers of a cult or religion.
Arwen and Aragorn: Happily ever after Ginny and Harry: Happily ever after Chani and Paul: Tragically never after
Zendaya scowls for the entirety of both movies.
0:42 when he takes one last look; that irrational hope that maybe she came back, maybe she stayed
Hans Zimmer puts so much emotion into this scene.
For me genuinely the greatest movie ending of all time. Such a mix of triumph, heartbreak, and defeat all at the same time. You shouldn't be happy about the holy war beginning but it's impossible to not get caught up in the fervour like Stilgar while simultaneously feeling the fear and regret of Chani.
The last time a movie gave me this much chills and excitement was Dune
While not coming close to The Return Of The King, this has to be the most powerful film since The Return Of The King.
Matrix . Harry Potter . LOTR . Dune..
Gratulálok Zoli! Jól összehoztad! 👌👍
Cringe acting. Cringe movie. Total geekfest.
The music in this film is just the best.
I was already on the edge of my seat for a majority of this movie, but when Paul said the words "lead them to paradise" my jaw just dropped from the excitement and the utter fear and despair knowing what that implies
I got chills watching the fremen boarding the ships to start maud'dib's jihad. They gonna fuck shit up
Nekem bejön.

This movie is a piece of art, overall. There are several scenes that are magnificent, but this one in particular has it all. That moment when Chani and Paul is shocking, Paul knows that Chani is hurt and not because she chose to marry Irulan, but because she became what she didn't say she wouldn't be. Although Paul knows that a future Chani will understand, he still doesn't let to be hurt by the fact of the damage that is being done to him. Before Paul I say his "Lead them to paradise". He feels the sadness, the guilt and the remorse he feels, because the price of avenging his father is very high, it means the death of billions of people, it is the price he must pay to avenge his parents and to save his son. home. It really is a spectacle of acting... without words
In the overall Dune story, which I have not read but get the big picture. So I understand clearly, none these people so far are the main character?
Without spoilers, I'd say "Kinda"? I think the second novel, Children of Dune, would end up being distilled into one movie, or two with Dune Messiah interwoven with it - both of which are, to me, the pivot5 away from the story in Dune, towards, God Emperor onwards. But God Emperor of Dune would probably make things confusing because whilst in story terms it's huge, and many things in the previous books coalesce into better understanding with it, as a *movie* I fear it would be considered too slow and plot heavy for a studio to green light without some major screenplay magic. I think it's one of the reasons why it's taken this long for a *good* Dune movie series to become viable. It's easier to see the Dune universe as individual snapshots in time, rather than any linear storytelling. And like it needing a Peter Jackson to make Lord Of The Rings actually work, Dune needs a Denis Villeneuve at the helm so people like yourself can get sucked down the rabbit hole even further :) So, "kinda" because there are main characters for each novel/epoch, but no one main character for the series other than Spice, Sandworms, and Arrakis.
@@StyxRiverGynoid I'll eventually read or listen to Dune as well as Tolkein's work. There's so much in both works that's not said. Especially in Tolkein's lore, there's so much implied but not talked about in discussions that I've seen. I'm sucked in, on the surface it all just looks like a hell of a commitment. But the lore I'm deep into, not specifics of the story overall. Dune's right up my way with its questions on the nature of being, human relationships, evolution, etc. Just like Halo I appreciate someone putting in the work to put forward their take on where we might be in the future as a species and civilization, the things that motivate, move, or cause us to act. When we look at some of the structures other civilizations have built in the past, they started projects that took hundreds of years to build and maintained them for even longer. Today it feels like we're just going along.
@@Whatisright Welcome to Dune :)
in the book its jihad not "holy war"
the best of 2024 spring, like this will be the forever anthem for my memories :) awesome scene and even better soundtrack
I had middle east flashbacks throughout the movie: holy war, fanatisism, a scarce rescource exploitet from foreign superpowers, religious resistance fighters, a fanatical leader that takes the initiative ... though i dont think here it will end with a swift desert storm operation by the great hosues (edit: havent read the books of dune, so dunno how it ends)
Not everyone who does the right thing is a hero. Paul is a perfect example of this. He did everything for humanity with the shitty hand fate dealt him and he still wished he could've taken a better path. Tragic indeed
This would’ve been perfect if we got an Oppenheimer-like tease of The Holy War, but I hope Messiah opens up to it, instead.
"lead them to paradise" means the death of 61 billion people. Paul knows this because of his visions and it's why he looks so demoralized. The jihad is an unavoidable consequence of his choice to get revenge for what the emperor and the harkonens did to his family. If he wanted to win he needed to unite and lead the fremen by assuming the role of the Lisan al Gaib which set the course for a galatic jihad whether he wanted it or not. He wouldn't have been able to stop it if he tried. He knew that winning against his enemies would mean leading to billions dying afterwards and all he could do is try to minimize the damage but that's about it, billions would die regardless because of his choices. This scene is Paul accepting that.
I just realized Arrakis part of Dune started and ended with Chani
Chani's problem is that she wants it both ways: she wants Paul to stay the same but also wants Arrakis to be free. Doesn't work like that
Dune has nothing on no country, the scale of Javier bardems presence in no country eclipses the entire dune/universe. No sound track, no cgi, no god, and no country.
