By the third movie, when I realized that Peeves wasn't in the movies at all, I stopped watching the movies. Haven't watched a single one since Prisoner of Azkaban. Not sorry. The books are a billion times better.

That remark about the laughter also makes it believable why the scenes were cut. Can't use the footage if the child cast members are too busy laughing to stay on script, and the same if the crew is messing up the audio.

I think The Prisoner of Azkaban has my favorite type of time travel in fiction. You see the same future stuff in the present without realizing it’s the future, and then you see it play out when they travel back in time later. There’s never anything new.
