It was a very cool chapter overall. The boss fight was beautiful (once again HI3 show how it's done in this department). The cutscene was very nice too. That ending was a bit of a strange decision though. Not the best place to cut imo. Also Baiju left a massive death flag with that promise he made. Let's see if he survives after that one lol

Doesn't it end a bit too abruptly? It felt too anticlimactic. We didn't got a visual confirmation of the "final boss" being truly defeated and it's also unclear the "price" we had to pay for that final blow.

One question, how Songque is unaffected with the shadow principle? - the one about debtor and creditor, one must give the shadow authority back eventually therefore they'd lose their power. I understand Lantern is unaffected because her power doesn't actually use shadows, her astral ring is only spawns enemies for Lantern to train with. But what about Songque? Is it because she actually never possess or practices her Shu authority? Or is it because the clones and zodiac astral ring from Baiji? But I don't think so because Songque was fine even before Baiji gave it to her. Whatever it is, I'm gonna rewatch the entire thing again and find the answer myself. This is another thing I love, I can go back multiple times and learn something new everytime, it's like experiencing the story for the first time all over again. thanks for always uploading chapter playtrough.

The transparent one is duplicate of other Shus Astral Ring created by Baiji with his Falsehood power, while the real one is Baiji's Astral RIng. -The reason why Songque can excute Rite of Tears by herself without needing other Shu to kill her is because Baiji gave his Astral Ring to her. Remember, Songque can't activate her Astral RIng at all, she needs other Astral Ring user to activate it. -1:21:42 - 1:23:06 Lantern is so worried about Songque despite her look. She even beg her to escape together with her, and she even said "Let your Akari-neesan try again. I can defeat it" Gonna add more!

WE'RE BACK

I have a few questions after doing this part. Is the 'Continent' Earth? It seemed like Ajita was talking about Honkai. Is it explained how she had knowledge of the outside world? Who is the friend who gave Baiji the Astral Ring? Is there a possibility that it could be Sena God or maybe even Vita or Ai? Was the Ajita breaking herself into 5 parts and one being Perception a lie? Do they not need all 7 Shus to do whatever they were doing at the end? Duonigue counts as Litost but there's no Ajita. Is the will of shadow being able to speak such a big deal? I mean Duonigue literally exists. How did they make Dreamseeker ser the future in a dream? And how do they know it's correct? What was that about transformation and all that? Yk the one Ajita was talking about in the last flashback.

they fact when they had the chance to end Songque but decided not to really makes me swell up in tears for some reason.. I love this blonde goofball so much. So instead of sacrificing Sonque, does that mean they are willing to fight the shadow instead and doing it the hard way?

Chapter 3 Act 1 and 2 are... Utterly, and absolutely beautiful. Beautiful dialogues, beatiful monologues, beatiful narration, intimate heartfelt moments that constantly made me teary eyes. So many times in the dialogue sequence with the beatiful art they showed and the music, I just stopped and savored every second of it, completely immersing myself in the moment. It's not the action, nor the flashy stuff, it's the dialogues, monologues, narration, and character interactions that made me love the story. This is one of, if not the best two acts of one chapter ever. I'm already re-experiencing the act 1, can't get enough of it, can't get enough of Songque.

Coralie continues to be one of the best characters we’ve ever had, and songque has grown on me more than I realized. Ty as always for the hard work!

This was A LOT. One thing I still don't understand is how the rite of tears work. I know they explained it but I didn't fully get it.

2:06:52 the ellie DNA leaking out 😆.That part was my favorite, where in the middle of Songque fear and insecurities, she receives a lot of warm and honest words from her companions. This one was the best chapter in Part 2 imo, with the characters interactions being the highlight. I just wish the part 2 plot was more clear overall (waiting for that Homu labs video covering more of the story).

Notes: -The Creation of Seven Shus Astral Ring and The Birth of Will of The Shadow: During the “Amber Street Great Panic” (different from The Great Eruption that happened in Luoxing/Mars), Baiji got a hand on an Astral Ring from his old friend and he showed it to Ajita, she called it Zodiac Astral Ring/Wheel of Destiny. Long story short, during the calamities, Baiji tried to contain the “Ten Faces of Misery”/Shadow within the Astral Ring in hopes of ending the calamities, but he failed because a tremendous surge of energy erupted from the shadows and shattered the Astral Ring into 7 pieces. The counterfeits they possess that resemble the Astral Ring are products of the incident, but not only that, the incident also gave birth to the Will of the Shadow. -Why killing Songque can save both Langqiu and Oxia? Simply, it’s because her Astral Ring power is to reset all of Langqiu’s shadows. But by doing so, she would also get killed in the process. A reminder that you don’t need an Astral Ring to have power to manipulate shadow, the ring is just a boost and does not necessarily give something (power) as literal as the shu’s title. For example, Lantern’s Astral Ring power is constantly giving her enemies/shadows to fight, and she got the“Shu of Destruction” title because she always constantly fights the shadows. How about Songque? As mentioned before, her power is to reset all of Langqiu’s shadows. To use her power, one of the Seven Shus must kill her or she can just activate it herself. So, why is it called “Deception”? It's because activating her Astral Ring means suicide, she can’t activate it (unless when the time has come), combined with her lack of experience in shadows compared to the other, that makes her not in the Shu’s level, but because of her ambition and pride, she successfully deceived many people into thinking that she’s as strong as the other Shus. -If the Seven Shus have been able to eradicate The Shadows since the beginning, why didn't they do it? It’s because they love Songque, as simple as that. -Ajita isn't dead yet. Among the Seven Shus, she's the only one who can completely discard her body. She discarded her body and went to the sea in order to find the so called "Continent". That explained why Coralie said that based on her observation, Ajita died a long time ago. -Ajita casually dropped a lore bomb lmao. Langqiu is equal to an "island" in the Sea of Data, and Ajita said that there's a place that she called "Continent". That place is said to be the cornerstone of civilization and the only beacon that deserves to be taken seriously. The funny thing is, in that "Continent", anomalies similar to Shadow calamities once happened too and most of the anomalies evolved to possess a will of their own. -The Anchor of Apocalypse in Langqiu is FAKE, while the REAL one is in Oxia.
