@@petersmithyy4556 You could be right. The ones I have seen for sale in auctions have been black but many were made for the movie so who knows. I own a panther suit with screen lineage and it really is breathtaking. I also own the 89 and returns suit with screen lineage.

You are referring to the Speargun they used in Batman Returns. They took the 89 and modified it a bit. The plate behind the handle was black in 89 and they changed it to silver in Returns.

That's a newer term for it however the original name is called the speargun

It never changed. When Neca released their toy version they called it a grapnel launcher. I think Neca did that because they couldn't advertise it as a gun for licensing reasons.

I did get a replacement and it was much better however it still has some faint blemishes unfortunately. I can live with it though.

Everything you just said was my thought process too. I don't want to take anything away from this belt or what Neca is doing. This is a beautiful piece and gives so many people a chance to own it however it just wasn't for me. The one I am really excited for is the gauntlet double grappling gun. I hope they are still making it.

I believe it's pvc. It's really light. The base is what's heavy.

I do don't see it but photos tend to screw everything up. To me it's a definitive model of what the movie went with

@@Batman_11989 I honestly can't remember. It was so long ago but I think for the full belt it was around 375 and if you just wanted the buckle it was around 250.

The belt is 100% all black. I know a few people who own a screen used one but you can also look up online and see some that were auctioned off. There was no gray or silver on it.

@@speakeasycollectibles89 after doing more digging your right it is black in the movie but shines like it is silver, it’s weird. But all of the promo photos Val took in the suit is for sure silver 100% I could see how prime one over looked that. I’m a huge stickler for movie accuracy so now this bothers me lol

Can't argue that. A lot of people including myself have said that belt has silver in it on those promo pics however lighting and shine application possibly gives the illusion.

I haven't gotten one yet? I will eventually however I am really disappointed in the paint. The prototype did not have all the blues and purple along with the shadings. It's still a beautiful piece and if that's a favorite suit of yours absolutely jump on it. It's sold out or waitlisted pretty much everywhere so if you have an opportunity you might want to do it. If you get it let me know your thoughts when you have it in hand.

@@nyrmala7383 I'm actually on the waitlist at P1. To be honest I have never not had a waitlist convert with them but I am nervous with this one. I don't think it will convert.

I wish Nicholson would be a little more generous with his licensing. Everyone needs some sort of his Joker in their collection.

It's probably the lighting or camera but it's definitely one piece for sure.
