When I was just a tad older then you,Ben, I would stick a peanut butter sandwich in my pocket and hike over from the flat top, just to roam around in that peaceful spot where your cabin is now. Oh, a Blue Heron, nice. When I was young, my Grandpa Sutton, would take your grandpa and me to a woods over in Marlboro area to see the Heron’s and their Large nests. I loved it!

Hey guys, just checking out your channel, good stuff! My younger brother taps about 1500 trees on our farm and uses a RO system to remove about 70% of the water before boiling the sap. He ended up with about 450 gal of finished product this year to sell at our Farmers' Markets.

I LOVED This Episode! You are some hard core kayakers! Most don't venture out on the water until June! 😂🤣😅 You probably already found out that the holes in your hull are called "Scuppers". Water comes in through them but they are designed for water coming into the boat will exit through the scuppers. They drastically limit the amount of standing water that can accumulate. As long as your hull storage lids have good seals, it can capsize and not sink. Any of the water that is in the boat will drain through the scuppers. I'd say this summer Ben will find his water legs and next year, he'll want his own boat!😂🤣😅!!!! Great Episode Boys! Loved It!!!!

It is moments like these that are so important to a young boy. Learning good woodsmanship , learning life lessons, and bonding between father and son. My blood father never did anything like this with me. My step father took me out to work, which was important, but didn't do woodsmanship. However, I had an Uncle who took me fishing and taught me things. To me, learning in the woods and all that comes with it are much fonder memories than say a trip to Disney world or a cruise. My Uncle is unfortunately gone now, but I have taken my own grandsons,nephews and friends kids fishing,hunting,camping. It in many ways was as rewarding for me as it was for them. Two of the neighbor boys grew up and unfortunately died from drug overdoses. I wasn't in the state then and didn't even know about thier addictions. No one told me. But, when I last seen both of them they thanked me for taking them out. It broke my heart, especially the one young man who was like a nephew to me. I don't know if I coulda helped them,but, the rest of the kids are doing well. I will be taking my one nephew camping soon. It will be his first time with me and he is on his early 20's . I can't wait! Sorry such a long post, but please, if you can, take a young person to the outdoors , camp fish,hunt, hike...whatever. they will remember and hopefully by the grace of GOD it will help give them life lessons. Hope what I said makes sense. Thank you Uncle Dan! I'll never forget you and all you did for me. I love you and miss you. My only comfort is that you are with the LORD now.

Ben, i commented on your last video and forgot to tell you that I was suggested to see your channel by Boonedockery. Hopefully you'll inspire other children your age to want to go outdoors! I didn't catch if you mentioned it but, I've heard that black walnuts or maybe it was just the husk,can be very harmful to dogs. You may want to ask your Dad to verify that. Another great video ...keep them commin' and we'll keep watching 😊

I've watched your first two videos and you did a fine job there young man!! When you made the cordage off the milkweed it was good you told us to wash our hands after. I honestly didn't know it had toxic juices. You just taught a 55 year old man something! Ty sir for that. It's so good to see you and your Dad do this together! You must have a passion for the outdoors. I'm sure your Dad will tell you he will learn as well along the way. Practicing safety now will help you so much thru your life.
