Hello, a rule of thumb, the hinge half with the three knuckles go on the door jamb, for support, not the door.

Horrible video on how to anything. How do i mark the location on jamb? you spent too much time working on selling dumb products rather than teaching customers how to do something. Ill make sure to avoid making any purchases from your website.

The pin becomes shorter and doesn't go all the way through the bottom hole.. does that affect anything?

The hard part is measuring the length of the door jam to meet the length of the door so everything matches. This also determines how high the door is from the top of the jam and the floor. None of this was mentioned. So much was skimmed over(placing the door in position-rather difficult-got the t shirt) in this vid, I think it's just a promo for the tools. Thanks for showing off these helpful tools, but don't disregard the process. I also noted the door jam was perfectly flat(makes install easier), unlike most door jams that have a ridge that stops the door.

What am I missing??? If the hinges are removed, how do these screws keep the door from being removed??? The door is not being ripped out of the frame. If that were the case, I can see the hingemate helping. The hinge removal allows the left part of the hinge to separate from the right side of the hinge, no matter WHAT the screws are. What am I missing???

There are so quite a bit of details that should be added to this video, all the pre-work involved, leveling and adjusting. A better detailed video would really help for the DIY repair and improvements.

I love how he hit the trim, now you need to find the paint can, prep, and touch up the paint. ALWAYS take 2 minutes and tape around the hinge in case you do what this guy did, the tape will prevent you from marking up the trim, wall, etc.

All the screw holes on my hinges are offset, meaning this simple sounding solution will not work. Be sure to check your hinges before purchasing hinge pins.

I need this but also I need something to make the door not make a thud sound when it’s closed normally. Someone in my condo building goes through the common door 300 times a day and it makes a “thud thud” sound every single time. Help!

should have known the Hoe Depot has lost its way, telling the customer to use a Screwdriver to pound on a hinge. Since your selling the Pin Popper, you should add ScrewDriver to your ad. Like others have stated the Title and Video don't go with each other. I take the top cap out and take the bottom cap off. Problem is the hinge won't punch out. Lube it and punch from the top or from the bottom it wont budge.

Since you "staged" your video by making sure the bottom hinge cap extended below the hinge with enough space to use vise grips, your demo was of no help. In the real world the caps are often snug and flush with the bottom hinge, to the point there's nothing for vise grips to hold and no space for a screwdriver blade to fit. Your best-case scenario is not what most of us deal with.

No help At all

A better solution is to make it soft close like a cabinet. With this method, you can't just swing the door close as it will pop back open. You will have to grab the door handle each time and drag the door shut in order to close the door, which makes closing the door more cumbersome.

My interior doors, the hinge pin slides put the bottom and the cap is on top. Did they install them upside down? I have one door where the hinge pin constantly falls out on its own.
