i don't think almost 4 years validates saying "finally". My gas powered Craftsman FINALLY quit after 18 years. Changed the oil and spark plug once in that time.
That's great. Thanks!
Hi! When looking through the cowl left side vents do you see sparks in the motor?
Yes, when the unit kicks on there is a short spark from inside the left motor cover.
Nice review but the company will only supply a good bench to you, but everyone else will get a bench that is dogy.
Thank you so much!
got a big move coming up, think this could work loading and unloading with a handtruck and furniture dollies? my truck is about the same height as yours.
I don't see why not. I would not try a fridge or anything super heavy, but rolling dressers and boxes should be alright. Good idea :)
@@EndWrenchRookie lol wish me luck
@@morganreed662 Good luck!
That dog in the background, is that a real one? So calm and composed, both of them know what exactly they are doing and hence the calmness. :)

Nice presentation, thank you. However, I'm kind of wondering if any of this humidifying moisture that is blowing will affect the electrical outlets inside my condominium unit over time!!! If anyone out there can or would elaborate on this it would be much appreciated. Thx again 👍
Thank you so much. Interesting question. If you live in a very humid environment then a swamp cooler will only make it worse. That being said, people use swamp coolers all over the world, in all different bio-environments without issue. We live in the desert so it is not an issue. At over 50 year of age I have never heard of electrical outlets sustaining damage to climate control measures. You can measure the relative humidity with an inexpensive device to monitor. Anything is possible but I would doubt it. Thanks for watching!
Want to see a 10 year Total Cost Of Ownership vs gas. That plastic body will outlive multiple battery replacements, $$, but not change in battery technology. My craftsman last 20 years, maybe changed oil 3 times, couple of spark plugs and still started on third pull when sold at garage sale this summer after not being run in the last 7-8 years. It was heavy as all get out, fwd, but very low TCoO. Electric just isn’t there yet from TCoO or QoC. These are now disposable tools. I want it to get there, it’s just not there yet.
All great points. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching!
Respectfully, I have the direct opposite opinion. I've had more headaches from gasoline engines over the years, from leaf blowers to riding mowers, from clogged carbs to valve adjustments to solenoids to deteriorated fuel lines to gas leaking into crankcase before I knew to install a fuel shut-off. I'll never buy another gas engine product again except maybe my chainsaw and riding mower. Granted, battery tech has not reached the point of making an electric riding mower cost effective... yet.
@@jacksparrow3619 ya, we have had the opposite experience. I want to go battery blower and trimmer but have 15 year old echos that fire on 1st or 2nd pull and seems a waste to move from something that works so well.
Not real happy with the cooler at the moment had it for one year and now it quit pumping water and a real pain in the ass to get any technical support please send a photo please send a video. How about I send you the cooler back and you send me a new one, clean and simple, keep the customer happy
Sorry to hear that. I have been pretty lucky with mine having no issues.
We are getting so lazy
Nah, we are not getting lazy, we are working smarter not harder :)
@EndWrenchRookie na I get it I do. And it's a really cool tool. Like I ain't doggin anyone about it. Guess I am just old and complaining like an old man and the kids are on my grass
Came for the mower, stayed for the dog.
Lol. Ya, I get that a lot. Thanks for watching!
Front end has perfect jiggle too
Lol. Sounds about right :)
I had this same problem, it has tons PLASTIC components inside, I just by passed the folding switch to one on Cover I Flip, which is also good I can just shut power down battery in it or not.
That is great. Good idea. Glad it worked out for you. Thanks for watching.
"Keep in mind, I have no idea what I'm doing" hahahahah This is exactly how I felt when I bought my '64 5 years ago. I just got her back up and running after doing a complete engine rebuild down to splitting the block and putting all new everything inside of it. Honestly, probably the thing I am most proud of doing in my whole life.
Lol. That is awesome. Ya, nothing as rewarding as making it work all on your own. Thanks for watching!
What brand is this??
It is an EGO battery powered trimmer. There is a link in the description.
Ok thank you
@@TimothyCibula-vh5ip No Worries. Good luck!
My self-propel drive is inoperable . After watching this video I'm sure I can attack this problem, figure it out and get the drive working again. Thanks
No worries. Glad to help. Last month my drive speed was stuck on high speed. I ended up finding a stretched wire in the wire harness at the location where the handles extend. Might check there. Good luck!
I think ego needs to re engineer that that’s no good!
Agreed
Do you need to drain any oil out before doing this ? I bought a 62, adjusted cold and it’s knocking so I want to try while it’s running. I don’t have a half cover.
No, you don't want to drain any oil first. You don't need the half cover, it just helps with the mess. Just place an oil pan under the head to catch the hot oil that drips out.
@@EndWrenchRookie Thanks , that worked great and I was able to adjust the 1 knocking rocker.
Can cut 70mm tube on 45°?
Not sure about that. Sorry
Very good review thank you
Thank you so much. I just used mine last week to paint my trailer spare tire rim. Worked great. Thanks for watching.
Dove si compra genialata lo voglio??
There is a link in the description of the video.
Hello; just cut my front coils by 1 coil. 1963 Monza. Because the ends of the coil are closer together, this netted me about 7/8” actual. Is that similar to your experience?
Sounds about right. I then cut a second coil. The result looked really cool, but the ride was not worth the looks. I have since bought and installed new stock-height springs all the way around.
@@EndWrenchRookie, appreciate the quick response. I think I’ll do another half-coil. Running 205/50-15 on a 15x7. With the low profile the additional drop may be ideal. If it’s rough, will just replace the coils.
Wo kaufen
There is a link in the description.
My shindawa has had a head like that for over 10+ years. They didn't create it. Ego sucks too.
That's cool
Mine died immediately after trying to reload. The store told me to return it to the manufacturer. The manufacturer told me to return it to the stire. I bought one that I have to wrap manually... Works great.
Great!

Najlepsza kosiarki to takie które z zieleniny robią jaja ,mleko albo mięso a nie takie które robią kupę smrodu i zjadają nasze pieniądze czas i zdrowie
Lol. So true.
Smart!! But is it not better to use steel wire? This artificial material is realy bad for your garden, specialy when you grow vegetables. Finally people get this stuf in their blood. I guess you dont want that to happen.
I haven't tried that but sounds like a good idea.
Great more shit to break
To je super
Thanks for watching!
I don't think I have this large socket. Do you remember the size socket you use on this bead breaker. Thanks 😀😃😄
Sure thing. It is a 1-1/4 inch socket.
Somebody actually oughta do a video where they show us how fast and how much that thing cools down a room and 2° is not gonna make any difference
That would be cool for sure. In my opinion, a portable air conditioning unit would be more "applicable" to the point of how long and how much a room cools off than is one of these portable swamp coolers. With an air conditioner, you close off the room to outside air and then dehumidify the air to remove moisture and built-up heat. Since the room is sealed off from outside air, you could measure the temp drop and its efficiency. With a unit like this, you must have an open air source as in inlet and also an outlet. So you are at the mercy of whatever the ambient outside temp and humidity is. If it is 100 degrees outside, then you are essentially sucking that air into your space. I would look at one of these units as keeping you more comfortable locally with air movement and the introduction of ice / ice cold water. In my case, I use it in my garage. I use it early in the day to stay ahead of the impending heat. The sun that beats down on my garage doors is intense and my aluminum doors reach 130 degrees in the heat of the day. I find that if I place the unit about 10 feet from me in my workspace then the cooling air makes it a lot more comfortable. This unit will not cool the garage, as a whole, in the same manor as a portable air conditioner. It does, however, run at a fraction of the price. Thanks for the comments and thank you for watching!
I bypassed the switch by connecting the smaller black and red wires together. The wire had pulled out of the connector socket. The handle extension switch will no longer stop the mower. Only need to remove the cover over the back of the mower and takes much less time and skill.
Nice. Good work. Thanks for sharing and thank you for watching!
Battery operated weed eater... Only for around the house use...Put that on a gas weed eater....???
Not sure if you can. But that would be cool :)
I can usually get about 6-7 lawns per battery charge, and with the less than 45 minute recharge time, it is really handy
Best job everp
right?
First thing that comes off is the guard..This allows more line out which uses less head rpm..
That makes sense
Thanks!
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it :) Thank you for watching!
Yes that's great! Saving time on site
Facts :) Time is money!
@@EndWrenchRookieglad I do this by the hour 😂
What is the AWG of the 3 wires you repaired? I have the same issue with my EGO mower.
Sorry to hear that. I think that 18 gauge should work fine.
That's a great review of a tempting product. I own a few things by Vevor, and have never had a problem with them, so can't comment on whether their customer service is any good. It's always seemed to be excellent stuff at an excellent price.
Thank you so much! I just love my service cart. It is the handiest tool cart I have in my garage. Thanks for watching!
Per fare questo devi avere il macchinario a batteria perché non lo dici?
All of EGO products are battery powered.
I believe that is the vintage that Ernie Kovacs slid sideways into a tree in.
Sounds about right. Very sad.

Thanks for uploading this video , i'm having same problem you have saved me hours of work👍
That is great. You are welcome. Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your machine. Good luck repairing it :) Thanks for watching!
Another good reason ,Toro doesn't encase their wiring in the folding arm
That's interesting. Seems like a good idea. Thanks!
That is great organizer.
Agreed. It has made a tremendous difference in my day-to-day work in the garage.
So many doodads! Very cool!
Too many to count :) Lol
is the humidity produced by the unit, noticeable ?
It is noticeable. You counter it by introducing more open windows or doors into your room. The more closed your room is the more the humidity will build up.
Apparently, cleaning the battery contacts is a thing too. I've be using the ego mower for 7 years only changing the blade 0 problems.
Ya, I suppose that depending on your environment the contacts could become crusty. Good point. Thanks!
if i use this at my condo, will it cause mold from the humidity from it and making the place "wet"?
Great question. It all depends on your location and relative humidity. I live in the south west portion of Idaho where it is mostly desert air. If you live on the coast or in a wet environment it will be worse. You can moderate the amount of humidity by how much fresh air you introduce via the open windows. You have to have at least 2 open windows in your home for it to work anyways so you can adjust their amount of air accordingly. Hope this helps. Good luck!
