Hard Times (David "Fathead" Newman)
So my friend the Metaphor Monkey came by and we had a little jam.
One of the tunes we touched was this classic from the album "FATHEAD" released by Ray Charles and featuring his friend and one of my favourite saxophonists, David "Fathead" Newman. (The song was written by Paul Mitchell.) This is our take on the song HARD TIMES (and my personal trubute to the great David Newman).
(By the way, Metaphor Monkey is a shy and modest character, who doesn't like his face too much in the limelight ... please respect that and don't stare too hard ...)

i like your version. i often play the piece on recorder, the reason a transposition from the flute copy might be ok is that Bach wrote for a flute pitched in D, not in C like modern flutes (or transposing Bb as sax).
