The JB well didn’t work overtime. It helped, but it didn’t adhere the bracket to the engine. So Loctite? Who knows maybe it would be better 🤷🏻‍♂️😅🔧

@@davidwolf2478 yes it sounds like the temperature sensor has failed. If the temperature sensor fails, it’s not going to kick your fans on when they should be kicking on. Hopefully your head gasket hasn’t blown best way to check for that is oil in your coolant. I did a video on the temperature sensor here on my channel somewhere. Hopefully changing that temperature sensor, will get your van back to where it should be. Peace and I wish you all the best with your grand caravan.

Yes, these vans are much different than the 3.6 Penastars. 2010 through 2012 were the first generation. They were still working the bugs out. I hope it isn’t either and I’m that sucks you spent so much money on it already. He should’ve done a compression check which would’ve better diagnosed the head gaskets. If that’s what’s going on, but I hope not either. Best of luck to you with your Caravan.

@@atmpldr I would look up your year, make and model of your vehicle and find out how to replace the stereo in your model of vehicle. Should be able to find a video telling you how to take the dash apart. And install your new stereo.

@@RussShawTV Thanks Russ. I was referring to removing the Dual XDMA6630 unit that was already installed in my vehicle before I owned it. After doing more research, I found that there were "keys" that need to be inserted between the unit and the mounting sleeve. Since I didn't have the keys, I made my own out of an old license plate, cutting strips about 3/8" wide and 3 inches long. I pushed those into the center of both sides of the unit and--Presto!--it pulled right out. Take care!

The best thing we can do with our intellect and mechanical Skills is to demand a higher pay and if we don’t get it, we can go do something else. People who don’t end up getting abused over and over again and keep on complaining while nothing changes.

I think I mentioned going to a wrecking yard and getting the exact same part if that part is missing not sure what it’s called. Well, I’m glad you got out of that place James. It’s like some of these dealerships will never learn. This sounds very identical to the place I worked at. And 🤔 by the way they went out of business two months after I shot this video.

I’m fairly certain that the hoses the same size with all of the models the part is compatible with. The heat shrink clamps can be kind of tricky, but they do work. Best way to test is to clear the code and make sure it doesn’t come back. Hopefully this works out for you, my friend 🔧😁👍

@@RussShawTV Hm. Not sure then. Even with softening it was basically impossible to get the hose over the new valve without the slit just going further. Almost ran out of hose trying that a couple times. Had to just do it clean with no slit and a lot of hand strength quickly after softening. Oh and the other reason it felt like mine was smaller was because in your video, the clamps seemed more even in size with the hose. For mine it was way bigger, even though I got the size in your link. Maybe the linked one is a bit later than you used? I can't think of another explanation. The smallest the one I got could go was 1/2 inch and that was barely enough to be secure.

Yeah, that’s starting to happen on our 95 grand caravan. My old Mastertech Tony told me it’s the switch itself that needs replacing. It is not an easy task. For now just annoying, but I imagine it’ll get worse. I’ve not done this job before but if and when I do, I’ll be making a video for sure. 👍

I can’t remember, but I know the dealership wanted to charge him almost $300 for the mirror and the glass. For this guy, only the mirror was broken so I was able to reuse the same glass from the old one. I put a link in the description to GM parts outlet where I found the mirror for I think it was around $100. It was a much better deal than that “stealership”. 😎👍🔧
