Welcome to 8 Hours of! The one-stop channel for 8 hours long videos to fall asleep and relax to.
The majority of videos are recordings from video games. This enables me to combine my huge lifelong passion for games and relaxation. I use various tools to be able to turn off the hud, weapons, or anything else that interrupts the visuals. I usually spend hours to find that one perfect spot in the levels until I feel it's good enough to record and upload.
I use Windows 11 and Nvidia's Shadowplay to record the videos. I then edit them in Davinci Resolve and render them. A typical render takes around 6 hours.
For non-game videos, I use my Sony PCM-D100 to record the audio and my phone or GoPro to record all the visuals.

Ok to be fair this is very beep boop and computery, but I assure you this is not what a data center sounds like. Pls call it what it is. CoD Computer Room Noise, becuase when I want data center ambience I want ambience of a real data center, not one of millions of other computery beep boop noises out there.

The nostalgia is real! You're the only Ambience CZcamsr to cover multiple COD maps. MW, Black Ops, Ghosts, Zombies, Warzone, so many cool locations to choose from, but no one covers them 😔

@@8HoursOf I like most of the MW2 maps and Verdansk. Like Scrapyard, Derail (snowy), Sub Base (water), Terminal, Estate (forest). You can systematically go through all the classic COD maps, so you can be the only CZcamsr who has covered them all. But I'd suggest putting "COD" in the title so other fans can find it. If someone searches for "Sandstorm", the algorithm will bury your video among the thousands of others, but if you put "COD" in the title, it will at least stand out a bit more.
True! I should probably add the name of the game in the title somewhere. It sounds like a cool project to try to get all the classic CoD maps recorded. Thanks for the idea!
