0:34 and now Samuel L. Jackson could join the bunch whenever the segment is being held at future ceremonies. No more dropping the "S-bomb" as in his earlier loss to Martin Landau; now he already earned one without even competing, as did Jackie Chan and Angela Bassett.
I can only imagine they doing it again in the 100th Oscars. It will be so iconic; for the people who love movies, I think it will be a great edition to celebrate movies.
Great gathering, but missing SO MANY: Katherine Hepburn, George C. Scott, Marlon Brando, Joanne Woodward, Gene Hackman, Jane Fonda, Tom Hanks, Merrill Streep, Julie Andrews, Sally Field, Al Pacino, William Hurt, Paul Newman, and many more!!!

@@CountrySunshine89 respectfully i disagree. We still got a bunch of oscar winning actors who are worth it. Cate Blanchett Leonardo DiCaprio Robert De Niro Tom Hanks Denzel Washington Viola Davis Rita Moreno Daniel Kaluuya Mahershala Ali Rami Malek Sam Rockwell Brendan Fraser Emma Stone Among many others
@@riolureviews5204 I like a few of them very much, particularly Sam & Brendan. My favorite living actress is an Oscar winner. But a movie star does not necessarily an Oscar make. They can be "A-list" and not a movie star the caliber of Clark Gable, John Wayne, Shirley Temple etc. On this stage, for example, true movie giants are limited to Temple & Connery...to a lesser degree Peck and Heston.....Claire Trevor, Theresa Wright, Louise Renier. Leo comes off as the biggest on that list, but not the caliber of yesteryear, he's not a likable or relatable person.
Quick, name the three who guested on Seinfeld
We will never see the likes of this group again sadly
I'll never forget watching this. Brings a tear to my eye.
The entire album is a flop without Marlon Brando.
Jeremy irons is the best
Eva Marie patting Harold Russell’s cheek
Cudowna gala!
Not Jack Nicholson waving his third Oscar he had won that night after he had been applauded for his previous two haha
rest in peace to louis gossett jr and some of the people at the oscars , that are no longer with us

Wow. What a reaction for Shirley Temple!!!!!
But where is Meryl Streep???
How sad so so many have left us now 😢 🎥 🎞
I loved Cloris
Wow, Gregory Peck! Immaculate in To Kill a Mockingbird As he needed to be to do that classic justice, and boy did he just!
They must've both been in awe of finally meeting someone like themselves

jghy
Where was Julie andrews
Back when I saw this live I knew just a few of them. Now that I’ve watched more movies I recognize a whole lot more.
Two legends.
Richard Dreyfus looked like he had a puss on!
JONATHAN HARSHMAN WINTERS lll 11 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 1925 11 DE ABRIL DE 2013 98 AÑOS 87 AÑOS 11 AÑOS
Williams’, in his cocaine-fuled mania, didn’t have the patience, nor the comedic discipline, to let Jonathan develop his slower-paced genius‼️
It was very, very good
Could Geena Davis' teeth be any bigger?

1996 or 1997?
I’m surprised they don’t do this anymore
They should do this at least every other year. Brings class to the Oscars
Great video, but I can't believe Gene Hackman wasn't on the album. He is one of the greatest actors of all time. Shame on the academy!
Someone can't read - it's Jonathan Winters.
I was expecting to see Goddess Barbra. 🙁
Beautiful
Richard Dreyfus looked bored 🥱 with this.
I don't understand why the academy doesn't do something like this anymore.. really want to see the Oscars winners gather on one stage..
The gorgeous men wow... Sean Connery wow
They all look so young … and alive!
Where was Meryl?
PICO T. QUINTOS: pardon me! How old is Pat McCormick as former KTVU Personality?
Though, I did see this live, it remarkable still, how I see MY ENTIRE LIFE FLASHING BEFORE MY EYES AGAIN! ♥♥♥♥
Seeing the actors and actresses full of joy up there makes me happy!
❤
Love this! Saw many great movies on KTVU's late night programming, too.
Expect to see this again in 5 years. I'd be pretty shocked if it didn't make an appearance.

Seeing this makes me so excited for the 100th Oscars Ceremony.
2028
I remember the 50th in 1978.
I'm not, most the people worth a dime are gone. There are few true movie stars left
