Cody Oldham Artist
United States
Registrace 8. 02. 2020
My name is Cody Oldham and I am a fifteen-year-old wildlife and landscape painter. I’ve been painting since I was eleven years old. There is nothing else I would rather do.
I paint for hours every day, either in the studio or en plein air, always working to improve. Some paintings come out better than others, but I know that not every painting is going to be a masterpiece. I’m always pushing myself harder and trying new things. Experimentation is learning.
Living in the mountains of Colorado, I’m surrounded by vast landscapes that are inspiring to me. From the leaf on a tree to a dramatic mountain scene, my environment motivates me in many different ways. Every time I look at an animal’s face or into its eyes, I think of a new idea for a painting.
My mentors and heroes are Robert Bateman, John Banovich, James Gurney, Andrew Tischler, and my father. All these artists have helped me progress quickly in my painting and my career.

So much of detailed explanation…your art is so so good!👌
How did you how my horse look like - you haven't seen it! 😉 I was so impressed when I saw your painting and decided to paint my horse now myself. 🥰
Beautiful
Wow what amazing work Cody, just discovered your channel a big shame the last post was 2 yrs ago..
You're young and very talented for your age, lovely work Cody! I say this as a gifted self-taught super realist oil painter myself. I'm mad about horses and Arabians in particular. However, I instantly fell in love with Majestic Picasso, I've painted him twice now, such lovely colours to work with. Given your age, your work is gonna scare other artists! 😂 You are definitely gifted. And thank you for portraying the beauty of the beloved horse. Keep up the awesome work Cody, it's important. ❤💪❤
This is such a beautiful painting Cody! You have a new subscriber🎉 I am painting a horse in acrylics for the first time ever and now I feel like I can do it. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial ❤
very good drawing and effects. I also really like to draw. Here you have my subscription 👍. beautif
Stunning! Thanks 🐎
Hey, would love to know the canvas size used as I'm planning on recreating this beautiful masterpiece of yours
Excellent thank you Mr. Cody!!!
Brilliant
Beautiful....
How beautiful, I drew a horse a few days ago, and I would be happy if you wrote down the colors for the horse you are painting, it looks perfect and amazing, thank you very much
Too bad he felt a need to cover up his shortcomings with music.
Wonderful action of the subject and application of color. People who know horses are often very aware of conformation and being an equine artist myself I would like to bring your attention to the left eye which appears to be placed a little too high and could also be moved to the left just a tad. If reproducing a photograph remember the camera can lie so it's up to us to rely on our knowledge to over ride the inaccuracies in photos. It's a great painting! Thank you for sharing.
Great work, Cody; you have mad painting skills and are a natural teacher! Just FYI though, unless you've acquired the rights to the reference photo, you should not be using it on CZcams; the horse photo image you used is on a book jacket titled: "Horse - Magnificent, Playful, Loyal" by C. Austen et al... I'm not sure who the photographer is or who owns the rights to the photo.
💟💌رسم رائع وجميل استمر وفقك الله أنا أتابعك من السعودية👍
Sorry but this isn't anatomically correct - the eyes and nostrils do not align and the ears do not appear to come from the head.
Wow you are the real artist amazing
hi brother, how are you? here is a new subscriber ,from where are you? amazing work
Wow! It was the tiny details that made such a large impact, for me
I've been toying with the idea of switching from acrylic to oils, I think you just made my mind up for me to take the plunge. I've been trying to figure out western style art and your video just gave me some ideas. Thank you Gorgeous piece btw

You are an incredible artist!!! And so young!! Wow!
This is absolutely amazing, you're a genius Cody!
I wish you made a detailed video for this master piece
I want to thank the Tisch for talking about what a great painter you are. He's right!
The eyes aren't level.
May i ask which colours you use here?
I can’t seem to find the link for brushes ….are they synthetic or boars bristle? And the ivory dagger? Thanks for a great vid, beautiful work! Do you have a list for the color combos? I love your bright orange mix!
Hi Cody! Beautiful paintings! Was wondering what bristle type dagger to you use for your horse painting. Is it a synthetic dagger or boars bristle? I wanted to order some from rosemary…. Thanks!
Why did you stop posting ?
It took several days to put together one video, and I found that it was taking to much time away from painting itself. I may get back into it in the coming years. But in the meantime you can follow me on Instagram where I post about all my new work, as well as short time lapse videos😁
I want to watch this In step by step 😔😔
Please upload some in acrylic
Great...... .. Please watch my Paintings....czcams.com/video/844EUAQEZgM/video.html
