What amazes me about this clip is that you can tell Gayle King disagrees with everything Jim Carrey is saying and desperately wants to make an excuse for Will Smith. How in the hell did anything escalate?? Chris Rock told literally one joke about Jada, which Will Smith LAUGHED AT, then on his wife’s say so went up and socked Chris Rock in the face. Jim was right when he said it didn't escalate, it was what was going on inside Will Smith that was the problem. That is the central issue with Hollywood and woke culture. Everyone is offended all the time, and then that offense is used as an excuse for all kinds of behavior up to and including violence. But it is the internal response of the offended where the real problem is, not the words of the "offender". The problem is we are so immature that we don't know how to restrain ourselves. In order to be offended we have to take offense. If we don't take it we don't get offended.

I really don't care about anything this man has to say. Will Smith already apologized, and that's more than most folks do. He's running his mouth and awful lot considering he was a subject of some pretty nasty headlines from his ex. Don't forget that when something is publicly televised to the world it hits different than if it just happens in public. Will lost it that night because I think he was going through it for a long time. He just snapped and was sick of the humiliation and the spotlight on him and his family.
