ANTHONY EDWARDS SCORING IN ISOLATION SITUATIONS
In this segment we will look at Isolation offense from the perimeter. We have covered many different types of ways to create space and separation to get your shot off up to this point. It all comes down to being able to read your defender and react on their reaction. The game doesn't have to be difficult as we can make simple reads to create offense. We will look at Anthony Edwards and how he creates space from his defender. Edwards is one of the up and coming stars of the NBA. He can hurt you in so many ways taking the ball to the rim, making shots from deep, or pulling up from the mid range. Pay attention to the way he changes speeds and direction on a drop of a dime. He is great at the element gf surprise to catch his defender sleeping. After making his move he can also get his shot off very quickly to make him that much harder to defend. STEPH CURRY DESTROYING OPPONENTS WITH HIS MOVEMENT
zhlédnutí 241Před 8 měsíci
Steph Curry is one of the more dominating players with the ball in his hands that the NBA has ever seen. What makes him almost impossible to guard is not only is he dominating with the ball IN his hands, he also controls the game with then ball NOT in his hands. Pay attention on how he sets his man up to make straight line hard cuts to the rim. You have to ALWAYS be moving to put your team in s...
J EMBIID SCREEN ROLL OFFENSE
zhlédnutí 70Před 8 měsíci
In this segment we will take a look at Joel Embiid in elbow isolation. He is such a tough player to defend with his size, mass, skill level, and motor skills. He operates well out of many spots, but he is tremendous in the elbow isolation. In today's game as a post player you need to be able to operate out of the elbow to either consistently make the 15-17 foot shot as well as be able to drive ...

As a Player do you add off ball cutting and movement to your workouts?? Do you study any film on it to add it to your game?? As a coach besides mentioning it to your players do you work on cutting in practice or to your individual workout with them???

Screening is such an important part of the game, because not only does it give the advantage to the ball handler to make their drive, but also opens up lob options for the screener or a pocket of space in the short roll to get a chance to score. Do you ever think of the impact on the game that screening has?

Pay attention to Luka's physicality how he initiates contact to clear space and stay on path to the basket. Not enough guards in pick and roll do this.

  • @theclassicmanila-style8435

I agree, he made it simple, what sets Pierce apart from other wings from that era, is his shot selection, he's not going to dribble the ball for 20 secs or call iso on the wing all the time, he had variety in his game, post ups, screen action, high lows, what he lacked in natural burst , he made up with his basketball i.q. and that made him more creative.

The spacing on the floor is hard to see from these angles, but from court level view it is really phenomenal to see him do this. You get a better sense of how long he is and just how hard it is to guard him once he takes that first step.
