These cars look practically brand new. Such a shame that they'll be headed the scrap heap after less than 30 years. It's a credit to SEPTA maintenance for keeping them rolling this long. I hope SEPTA gets some of its money back toward its purchase of the new MFL trains.
Gotta love the sweet sound of a wabco horn. That’s my #1 favorite train horn. I live in New York so I hear that horn on the old black and yellow work trains and the PA5 path trains.

Why is the Yellow Line not going to Greenbelt?
I think its because they still don't have all 748 7ks back and don't have enough train operators at this time and to focus on the croe until those numbers increase. Hopefully when both of those things increase and if the FBI chooses Greenbelt for their headquarter location they'll bring it back cause I personally think its better when the YL goes to Greenbelt too otherwise the Yellow is kind of useless compared to the other lines when it only goes to Mount Vernon Sq
