The five books of Moses is incredible! It takes about 150 pages to get into but once you get through the first book, it's incredible!

I have tried to read this woman’s books. I give then 100 pages and the writing is tedious and the characters are flat and the plots are uninteresting. What is the opposite of a “page turner”. Yet she gets award after award. Turns out Abe Lincoln was wrong…”you can fool all of the people all of the time.”

This was the first book I read by Tayari Jones. I ordered the kindle version of An American Marriage as well as Silver Sparrow. I abandoned the former. Silver Sparrow was easier to read and finish, and it was much more intriguing as well. The book was very touching and relatable, and the exploration of bigamy is not something many ppl talk about or like to see as a “normal” part of life even if it is common (polygamy is legal in many places) in so many parts of the world. I love how she explored the subject with so much compassion and sentiments. I am a fan and I am going to read An American Marriage because of how Tayari’s writing in Silver Sparrow made me feel. I’m also revisiting S.S just because I want to again. Your exposition of the book is very crystal clear and not ambiguous. You discuss books well, and you should make more videos.
