    Sir during recycled gas it too has some anaesthetic drugs so along with fresh gas which has a fixed anaestgic drug come along with this added recycled drugs will it cause toxicity ..how to prevent

    • @AnesthesiaandCriticalcare
      @AnesthesiaandCriticalcare Před měsícem

      If I got you correctly, I will make some points...the main purpose of the circle system is the ability to reuse oxygen and anesthetic gas. We don't want to waste those oxygen and volatiles agents expired from the patient..we only want to let co2 out...that's why we have CO2 absorber and not halothane or sevoflurane absorber...circle system with CO2 absorber has made it possible for us to do what we call a LOW FLOW ANESTHESIA. Unlike mapleson system, CO2 is vented out mainly through high flow of fresh gas...there was wastage of oxygen and volatile gas as we vented out CO2...also about pollution.. Of course there will be risk of toxicity when reusing the gas that passes through the CO2 absorber but that depends on many factors related to CO2 absorber characteristics...toxicity depends on dryness and heat of absorber granules n other factors which modern absorbers has tackled well..You will understand more if you look into my CO2 absorber video.. hope this helps.. Good luck studying

      @@AnesthesiaandCriticalcare sir in maintanance they use inhalation agents..is there any dose kept or is it same for all patient age .isthere any amount we can set in the vapouriser machine

    • @AnesthesiaandCriticalcare
      @AnesthesiaandCriticalcare Před měsícem

      For that you need to know about the minimum alveolar concentration (MAc) of the volatile agents which tell us about the potency..different gas gas different Practically, when we start anesthesia we start on high flow gas and anesthetics to reach the desires map..after that we reduce the flow to make sure that patients maintain the MAc..however MAc is not a guarantee that patient is fully anesthetized..we need to look into hemodynamic parameters, some monitoring like bis, entropy etc... So we need to change depending on the adequacy of anesthesia ...what we set on the dial is the percentage(v/v %) or the percentage of anesthetic gas in the total fresh gas flow...map is measured from entidal or expired gas or endtodal co2..

  • @AnesthesiaandCriticalcare

    Correction......limit variable doesn't limit the extent of inspiration..it's rather done by cycling variable...what limit variable does is, it limits certain parameters ( eg. Pressure) from overshooting. The inspiration continues till cycling phase. It keeps parameters like pressure, flow or volume checked within safe or set limits ..it's also called target..

    Then hpw n20 become a gas if it is in liquid and temp is 30

    • @AnesthesiaandCriticalcare
      @AnesthesiaandCriticalcare Před 6 měsíci

      Liquid nitrous oxide in pressurized cylinders is in equilibrium with the gaseous form at 745 pounds per square inch gauge. as the vapour is being used up, additional liquid is vaporized to maintain that same pressure untill 75 % of the content is used...without pressure, the nitrous oxide is also a gas like oxygen. But since it is pressurized in the cylinder, it partially gets luquified. To completely liquify we either need to reduce the temperature or increase the pressure...hope this helped..

      Thanks mam flow rate at low presure system we can adjust..so normally how much rate we keep mam also a normal human if he breath what his his flow rate

    • @AnesthesiaandCriticalcare
      @AnesthesiaandCriticalcare Před 6 měsíci

      I didn't full get your question but from what I understand ...norma healthyl human breath at 12 per minute at tidal volume of about 500 ml..so our normal flow is about 500ml per breath or 6 liters per minutes...you should know that is all from our own respiratory effort (negative pressure breathing). Our body incredibly adjust that flow rate.for example , during exercise , our respirary system works more thereby increasing the flow rate..same happen during illness...apart from that flow rate also changes based on certain external factors like atmospheric pressure and oxygen concentration like in high altitude or deep sea diving...there is sth call alvoelar oxygen equation that determines that. Duing illness, we just supplement what our respiratory system is already doing either with providing extra concentration or flow using pressure....when we use pressure, we normally intubate or use cpap mask and our breathing changes from negative pressure to positive pressure...if you learn about mechanical ventilation and oxygen delivery devices like facemask, rebreather and non reberether ,you will get better idea...
