In my experience on CZcams, anytime someone refers to an eyeshadow palette as “neutral” they’re never referring to the warmth or coolness, it’s just all brown. Neutral has become synonymous with brown. (And not to be shady but these are a lot of the same people who use “contour” and “bronzer” interchangeably)

I definitely believe in technique and tools and they don't have to be expensive. I over and over again have made supposed tricky acc to "beauty gurus" eyeshadows work perfectly fine and easy for me wo fall out, blending issues, "hard pan", etc etc ONLY by trying out different of my pretty cheap brushes 🤷brush shape is more important than the type of hair. I watch a lot of luxury channels telling you how you need specific brushes to make certain formulas look and apply a certain way and I always achieve the same w my cheap ones 😂

curly hair advice from me, a person with a curly mullet - get a leave in conditioner and use way more of it than you think you need. rake it through your hair and scrunch the ends (do this when your hair is dripping wet, I do it while I'm still in the shower). then DO NOT touch it AT ALL until it it 100% DRY. You can air dry or use a diffuser attachment on a blow dryer. a lot of people on the internet will say that you need a bunch of different products and that you need to use them in a specific order and with specific tools, but its really not necessary (especially if you dont plan to grow your hair past your shoulders) + its really overwhelming when you're first learning. just start with a leave in and if you feel you need more then expand.

I have curly hair. After I wash it I put an air dry cream in it, scrunch it, and let it dry on its own. In the morning I revive my curls by resetting my hair and scrunching again.

from a wavy haired person: I think a sea salt spray might go far! It will add texture and grit. If that's not your thing, the Curlsmith Waves Spray is great, and comes in a mini so you could test it before committing fully.

I’ve been using that same recipe but with Nelson! I’ve been using Nelson to add some coolness behind shimmers and once there’s something over it, any patchiness is negligible. It’s been my DIY Smoky Quartz pseudo-dupe, actually!

I was too intimidated to try the gold shade of the primer but it looks gorgeous on you! Thank you for the review on the concealer, I hate that when she teams with Augustus Bader the prices go through the roof, but I was dying to try it! And the Gucci! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love the “my skin but better” look, and I feel that you achieved that with this makeup. I have yet to try Victoria Beckham makeup, but I’ve been impressed by what I’ve seen. What impresses me most about this concealer is the nice, medium coverage and the glow that this formula appears to give. Out of the swatches you showed, the VB concealer had the most sheen to it. If it’s hydrating, that’s what I’m looking for my 63 year old skin. Years ago, I used the YSL Touche Eclat under my eyes, and it had a lovely brightening effect. That’s what I’m looking for. I just saw a review of the new Westman Atelier concealer, and was disappointed that it has a demi matte finish. I don’t know how hydrating it’s supposed to be, but I don’t want a flat finish. It also has lighter coverage. But I don’t want something that’ll crease either. I’m wondering how the VB concealer wears over time without setting. From what I’ve seen regarding the Gucci highlighter, I’m impressed with the glasslike finish it gives. The formula is supposed to be a gel powder, and doesn’t have fallout or glitter particles, which I like. Also, it seems to be buildable as well, which I like. I’m glad you tried it in the shade opal rose, as I think that would be perfect for my light to medium skin tone. I was thinking about trying the sunrise gold shade, but the swatches were surprisingly lackluster. For some reason, the lightest shade has the least amount of payoff and reflectivity. All the other shades are beautiful. I’m sure you will love the lilac shade, as it’s stunning on everyone I’ve seen it on.

I'm not in the market for a concealer & even if I was, it wouldn't be one at that price point & yet.... I want this concealer. 😅 It looks so beautiful! & that highlight!!! That looks like everything I was hoping the rms highlight was going to be yet was not. 😮🤌
