Due to complications from power outages, the church did not have internet at the time this service was recorded even though power had been restored. Because of this, a live stream was not possible. Hopefully all that will be taken care of by next Sunday and we can go back to our normal streaming schedule.

We can’t combine non-Christian things with Christian things and think that’s ok. Christian should not have any part of it. It’s #s instead of signs. Some people are calling it a “sacred map” of your soul. This is an abomination to God. Some Christian turn to things like this rather than God to know who they are. If you are looking outside of the bile to find truth about yourself, then you’re going down the wrong path. Andy Stanley and many other people in Christendom are promoting it. Promoting occultic resources that are “divinely inspired”. It is focused on self vs denying self, which Jesus taught. It talks about our fallen nature being something we can redeem ourselves. What is this doing in our churches? This should not be used by Christians. What fellowship does light have with darkness? The Church of Colossians. There were false teachings in the church. Combining ideas from other philosophies and religions. This heresy became Gnosticism, emphasizing special knowledge and denying Christ as God and Savior. They were trying to add to the gospel-people with special insight to the gospel. In Christ alone. He bridges the gap to give me a relationship with God. Real wisdom is not hidden in a secret books or a personality test. It is deposited in Jesus Christ. Deceivers are deceivers. They won’t announce false doctrines as false doctrine, and it will often be similar enough to the truth to be dangerous. The philosophy threatening the Colossian Christian was so dangerous because it was not obviously sinful and licentious. It was high sounding and seemed highly intelligent. We are complete in Jesus. Teachers of the enneagram are charlatans. The enneagram Christian perspective is taught by Richard Rohr. He believes in the “Universal Christ” and channeling. IT is saying “this is who I am, so I’m going to rewrite who God says I am. It is a counterfeit. What is it we are participating with when we do it? Deut 18:12 10-11 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire, one who use divination and fortune telling, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a charm or spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or a necromancer. For everyone who does these things is utterly repulsive to the Lord: and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God. Lev 19:31 Do not turn to mediums or to spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord you God. 1 Pet 2:9 We are a chosen people. A royal priesthood. A holy nation. A people for God’s own possession We are the body of Christ. We are friends of God. It is saying the scripture is divinely inspired but not sufficient. It is to say Jesus Christ is not enough. Self, self, self. It looks good. It looks cool. It looks inviting. There is a spiritual element to it. WE want Holy Spirit contact. God will give you the answers you need. You don’t need to turn to a personality test. John 1:14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us: and we (actually) saw His glory, glory as belongs to the (One and) only begotten Son of the Father full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception). 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit; instead test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world. 2 Tim 3:2-5 For people will be lovers of self……..holding on to a form of godliness although they have denied its power. Avoid such people and keep far away from them. 2 Cor 11:14 And no wonder, since satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising then, if his servants also masquerade as a servant of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. .Deut 18:9 When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not lean to the detestable ways of the nations. MY BROTHER, Who drank a gallon of Minute Made Fruit punch in 30 seconds. And I took the blame for it....lol! MY BROTHER, Who took me to see my girlfriend at her house, just for me to see her and you sat outside in your car in the summer heat and waited for me. You never complained. Today, she’s my wife!

I am so thankful I heard this message from Mike Pipkin on pain and suffering. I live with chronic physical pain. I have endured loss after loss during the last 19 years which I could not understand. God in his mercy spared me the loss of my only child who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer almost 5 years ago. Thank you Mike....I now understand how I have been blessed through my losses and sufferings.

Facing a challenging decision, I prayed for God to guide me. Immediately I had the thought to listen to one of your lessons. Opening CZcams, this lesson came up. I "know" all of what you presented here. I listened to this message 3 weeks ago... but I needed this encouragement now to keep my focus. Maybe what "I want" is His will. Powerful, helpful...clear we can do all things Thru Christ...we just have to decide to do it...With His help.

Yes! You have probably heard the saying, "power corrupts...absolute power corrupts absolutely." We have the choice which path we take. Jesus says, "whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant..."Mk. 10:43 Mt. 23:11-12, adds further food for thought, "For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

Gary, important lesson for all! God can use us no matter the career we choose. What shaped my choices were the songs I sang in my youth - "Where He Leads I'll Follow," "Lead Me to Some Soul Today," "Trust and Obey," to name a few...Another, telling God, "Use me as a tool in your hands to glorify you," brings opportunities to follow Him. But, when I think I'm in the "perfect place," God often directs elsewhere...then I struggle between choosing My kingdom or God's Kingdom. God always wins out...but not without heartache and giving up my will. Later, unexpected blessings come. I'm at one of those points today. Your lesson helps.

Thank you for reminding us of what we already know...whether in TX or half-way around the world, we need to be reminded of who our Father is...and that we ARE His children!
