Well, next year I will know what to do.🤭🫤🤔😅. I didn’t throw them away, but they smelled moldy after I took the wax off. I peeled back the covering AND the next layer!😮😮. I sprayed them a few times with antifungal spray, a copper mix, and then a growth promoting one, potted them up and spray watered the pots to damp. They were put by an indirectly bright window, and began filling out and plumping up almost immediately. (All dead matter was removed, and since it’s the middle of July, there was a lot.). Visibly, they look ok and I will keep a close eye on them, but I can only hope they will be ok and start taking root. I’m pretty worried about peeling back that outer layer. 🤨😕🤷🏼‍♀️ They were potted in a Miracle Grow mix with a layer or two of bark. Maybe they will be ok. What should I have done? (Maybe, I already know.). Live and learn.
