Pfff Orma and sassicaia it's great better
Omggg thank uuuu! I was about to have a fit lmao

Thank you so much. Took away my anxiety of the pop
Just wanted to point out that it wasn't the Napoleon as in Napoleon Bonaparte, the guy who went to Russia and back and got a proper spanking at Waterloo. It was Napoleon III. Also a very interesting character and not only because of wine!
I've really struggled to find decent replacements since I became intolerant to alcohol - I was a red wine and whiskey drinker (not heavily) previously. The best red wine I've found is Tesco's own Cabernet Tempranillo, which is only about £3.75 - but honestly, even that I'd have poured down the sink back when I could drink real wine. The thing is, it's such a gamble - the most expensive bottle I bought, after reading reviews too, I did pour down the sink, I just don't have the money to throw away like that. But I will see if I can get hold of this Hand on Heart one - my brother lives in the States, may be he could pick up a bottle even if I can't. Beers, on the other hand, are very good.
I have one winery from Piemonte in my shop which produces excellent Roero Arneis (1 unwooded, 2 aged on french barrique). Arneis usually is very pale, so based on color, it doesn’t look very Arneis-like. It kinda looks like the chestnut barrel aging has had a very strong effect on this wine, and I’m not sure it’s for the better. One of the main plusses of the grape is that it’s very cleansing and mineralizing. Now, I’m not very familiar with American wines/soils, so I can give it the benefit of the doubt 🤷🏻♂️☺️
What worries me are the sulfites…
Yay!!! Brie is Fantastic, we are so impressed bybher wine work as well as her Advocacy!!!
She is awesome! Love the info and her energy. Check out Gamay Noir out of Traverse City, MI. South west Michigan now produces Shiraz and Malbec.
Glad to see more varieties are being grown in the WV. As much as I love Pinot and Chardonnay…I do enjoy variety
I’m with you! I adore Vietti’s moscato.
Awesome! Do more!
Hey, just noticed... Congrats on a 100k+ subs!
Hey, thanks!
Girl! God bless you!
That creased me up lol

Wow.. the adjectives
Michigander here, you have to try Robinette's wine!! The apple, Spumante, and cherry wine are marvelous!
I love fruity, juicy wines, but I despise dry oaky wines
Amazing wines indeed, I haven't tasted Banfi and Summus looking forward. Thanks Madeline you are a pro...
If Krug is on the menu go with that every time.
I remember when I was getting into Bourgogne, and I asked a friend if he had some producers I should try and he said "Get some DRC." When I finally figured out what that meant, and how much Domaine Romanée-Conti cost (thousands of dollars a bottle!) I kinda felt like it was the equivalent of him telling me Bourgogne was out of my league. Let's see. The last time I saw Krug on a menu it was like $450 a bottle.
@Winefolly yeah vintage krug is about 500 retail, 900 or so ar restaurants. It's definitely worth getting if it's on the menu
👏
Dude that's so crazy, I want to grow a nearly extinct grape vine. That is going to be my next to do thing on my visionboard. Ferrari Check, Lambo Check, beach House Check, ----> Rare nearly extinct grape vine is NEXT. I can taste the grapes in my mouth right now. Near Extinction is delicious!
Ferrari before beachhouse eh? Guess you'll need to park that at the curb for now. I like your last visionboard item definitely the best ;) We have a whole list for you to peruse!
wine folly the best ! need info re anything to do w wines go to the horses mouth : thank you wine folly peeps:
I love Roero Arneis and all aware about Vietti's work but was totally unaware of it being grown in Willamette. With that being said I would not be surprised to see more Native Italian grapes being grown everywhere else in the world, the source is incredibly vast and there's an Italian varietal for almost every terroir in the world and the last Vinitaly was proof of it. Cheers!
We are also growing Sangiovese, Dolcetto, Lagrein, Barbera and Nebbiolo, and Scopattino and Teraldigo, plus
@@dustinplatt1481 That's amazing Dustin, I was aware of Italian varietals being grown over here but I was not aware it was at your level. In fact, that was part of my Vinitaly exam back in march!
Great choice Madeline! I love Arneis, and I know both of the „saviours“ wines, Vietti and Giacosa, and they‘re great 👍🏻
During a wine tour of Italy in 2022 we learned about another rare Tuscan varietal brought back from the brink of extinction in the past few decades: FOGLIA TONDA (found in the Orcia Rosso DOC). It's good to see these viticultural connections to the past being preserved, both in their ancestral lands, as well as in the new world (with ARNEIS). Thanks, Wine Folly, for another great educational video.
wow that's quite a story! Will be looking that one up. Very rare one indeed :)
2:53 Roasting California, I see.
Wow, that's a great shirt!
Me outside soaking my terra cotta pots so I know what "Wet Terra Cotta Pot" smells like. 🙄
This!!🙌
❤
Very informative and timely…I actually bought the Vietti Roero Arneis last week! A nice change-up for sure. And your Garganega suggestion resonates: discovered it two years ago on the shores of Lake Garda. Keep ‘em coming MP, no one does it like you!
absolutely great information on these "little known " wines! shopping now! You are an incredible asset to the wine drinkers of the world! Never cease to amaze and teach us!
Such a cool addition to your May shipment. Goooo Bree!!!
I think I need to invest in a Coravin but which model.. Any suggestions?
Oooo, great question. As someone who never “coravins” a wine for more than a month, I really like the pivot. But, if you’re going to put the wine back in your cellar for several months, get the pokey one.
I bought lots of extra pivot caps, so I can have several bottles open at same time and store both whites and reds in fridge (just make sure to let reds warm up)
@@Winefolly … thank you for your help, maybe do an episode on it
@@Winefolly .. can you explain the Cap please and thanks again
I’m in a very precarious situation.. my wife doesn’t drink wine, so when I open up a bottle of wine it lasts anywhere from 3 to 5 days… I think I need to invest in a Coravin but which model..
Well that was sexy!
Wtf
Try orange wine with a chocolate dessert - it's a perfect combination !
So refreshing, so good, and fun. I could watch these reviews for hours.
How would anyone guess that? It might as well be Provence! Like the look, by the way!! 😂
😂
I was completely unprepared for the cork in the wine bottle. Okay, so I buy a corkscrew from Specs. I get home having no idea how to use it. Google'd instructions and your video came up. I like how you identify the parts. I also like how you show how to put the corkscrew in, and how to use the different parts in unison together to get the cork out. My first time in all my 30 years of living to use a corkscrew. LoL!! Thanks for the video. Very direct. Short. And solves the task.
Good wine doesn’t last long enough for me to find out when it goes bad. 😁
I’m looking for the perfect non alcohol 🍷 wine for communion. ❤
Can someone help me actually I am hotel management student tomorrow I have practical exam of this so any tips that how to read wine label
Box wine always stays fresh because it's sealed in plastic, and oxygen can't get in.
PS - loved the Romeo & Juliet allusion. ;)
